I like the sleek look of the vehicle. The seating is relatively comfortable. I hate the entire engine compartment setup, the cheap trunk materials, and the fact that the entire underneath side is just plastic shields with plastic buttons.
Story
This wasn't a fun experience at all but it was memorable. My husband, 81 year old mother and I were on our way to a wedding. The car overheated and we had to pull over at a place of business. Before I could object, my husband removed the radiator cap and spewed hot coolant all over his hand and part of his face. He got steam burn on hand. Fortunately we were a few miles from our daughter who h... (more)
Pros
The repairs are relatively cheap for first 100K miles.
Cons
There are several negative items that I can share. The first item is that I hope you never need to put a water pump in this vehicle. It is absolutely astounding that you have to take off radiator fans, power steering pumps, timing covers and replace the timing chain to change a water pump, with a minimum cost of $1000 to repair a water pump. It is cheaply held together with plastic and buttons.

I have always LOVED the look of this car, and the feeling of the wind in my hair. I love the color and the way it handles. It's now 15 years old, and still drives like a dream. I've had to put very little money into it over the years. It has been dependable, and I plan to keep driving it for as long as it stays that way. The only "downside" has been that the top seems to have "shrunk" at some point. There is a small leak over the driver door when there is a slow rain, and it can get loud when it's windy.
Story
Not long after I bought it, I had it parked on the street. I came outside to see a couple looking at it and the woman was saying "oh look. There's my car." It was said in the way you would use when looking at something you'll never be able to afford. I couldn't believe someone was doing that with something I actually owned! My best friend and I have taken a lot of great road trips in this ca... (more)
Pros
It has been mechanically sound, and is SO much fun to drive.
Cons
The wind can be loud and it can get cold in the winter.

This car has lasted me over 110,000 miles with very little repair or maintenance. It is a simple car and it gets the job done. There aren't any fancy perks like a sun-roof, back-up camera, or any of that, but the car runs smoothly. Now that it has 110,000 miles on it, it has become a bit rattly although it is hard to tell if that is a bad mechanic job (at one point apparently they reattached the bumper with no screws). The car is reliable and had no problem running almost straight for 20 hours (except for getting gas of course) on multiple occasions throughout its lifetime.
Story
This car has taken me everywhere. I was able to travel to see my long-distance boyfriend every 3 weeks for over a year in this car and it never let up. I always remember the long hours, listening to music and hitting the open road in it.
Pros
The car was very durable. It was easily modifiable with an electrical plug and headphone jack. The knobs are simple to use without looking at them and distracting oneself from the road. The car has back seats that are easily brought down for carrying things. It breaks really fast, especially on a wet road oddly enough. The air conditioner even survived the bumper being ripped off so very solid.
Cons
The vehicle rides a little low, which causes it to get nicked a lot and have problems with blockers in parking lots. It doesn't have the fastest acceleration and the acceleration seems to vary for no reason which means you have to be careful about pulling out in front of people. It doesn't have a back up mirror. It doesn't have blind spot detection so that means you have to watch carefully.
