2009 Chrysler Sebring - It's a somewhat reliable vehicle, but hasn't aged well.

Overall, my Sebring has been fairly reliable mechanically, in that I can count on it to get me from point A to point B on a daily basis. Over the course of ownership (10 years) it has needed a new alternator and had a coolant leak. The seatbelt light refuses to go off, and the airbag light goes on and off as it chooses. The TPMS light is also always on, even though I check the tire pressure weekly and have had it checked out by a few mechanics only to find out that nothing is wrong with it, and I think it's something I'll just have to live with. The convertible top also stopped going down two years ago, and the price to have it fixed isn't worth it to me. I regularly perform the maintenance on the vehicle myself, and that has helped the vehicle running well. The very drab and dated com... (more)
Story
When the top used to work, I remember one time driving with it down, only for it to start randomly raining very hard and getting completely soaked. I thought it was hilarious because it was very sunny outside and completely unexpected.
Pros
My Sebring is very reliable. I can count on it on a daily basis to do what it's supposed to do, get me where I want to go. The oil is easy to change. I don't even have to jack up the car.
Cons
It has a sluggish engine and is not very eye appealing. The convertible top stopped going down and the dashboard is constantly full of check lights, but with no way to get the "problems" fixed. The antenna doesn't pick up a good signal, resulting in a very shoddy radio listening experience.

2009 Chrysler Sebring - The Chrysler Sebring is a good starter vehicle for someone like a college student or someone who has to travel.

What I like about the Sebring is that is reliable and drives very smooth. It's pretty roomy on the inside, and there is never an issue with back seaters. It is very sporty. I like the four door better than the two door. The only thing that I didn't like is that the interior seemed to rip quick, but that could have just been from the harsh weather we have been having.
Story
I remember I was taking my little brother to a party . When I arrived to him, he had a few stragglers with him and said there was no way possible that I could fit them all in the car. To my surprise all five were able to climb in the back snug but comfortably.
Pros
It was convertible top, which allows me to look extra cool while riding in the summer or on a beautiful day with perfect weather. I like the interior space. Most people like a lot of trunk space. I'd rather have my riders comfortable rather than having enough grocery space.
Cons
Small trunk was a big issue for me and especially when I went shopping. Another issue I had was the cheap material; it was like it wasn't even leather. I've seen bad reviews on the material multiple times, and I wanted to think that it was the material, but it was I was proved wrong but still loved the car.
