So I needed a new car to take from home to work basically after my old Kia died. My wife had recently purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and was pretty happy with the reliability and comfort, so I decided to purchase an Elantra. The car is filled with great technology features that make a long commute fly by. As with most modern vehicles, this car comes equipped with Bluetooth, navigation, etc. it is compatible with Apple and Android phones. It has a pretty solid response and the ability to switch from economy, normal and sports modes at click of a button. The tech alone in the car make it a great vehicle if you are in a long work-home commute. In eco mode the car delivers a decent 32-34 mpg in combined highway-street driving -- the other modes provide somewhat less efficiency. The sports mode is great and has some pep when driving. The acceleration is greater, and you really feel it. I particularly like using this mode in the highway. The interior is well thought out and is good looking overall. So far I have had no issues with the car, and I think I may purchase it after the lease is done.

First off, I like the way the car looks. It's nice and compact and looks stylish. It has great gas mileage and shows you the current gas mileage on the dash board (between 35-42 mph). The car has 50,000 miles on it and still runs great. Recently got it checked out and the only thing that needed replacing was my tires. It has an aux cable so you can connect your smart phone and play music over the speakers. It sits five comfortably, and the trunk space is amazing for this size car. The truck can easily fit a person or two (not like my friends and I have tried it or anything). My biggest gripe, though, is that it has no back wipers. I keep a hand wiper that I use to clean any frost or dirt off in the mornings. I sometimes forget to do this, though, which makes it hard to see out the back of the car. In addition, the car has no seat heaters or sun roof. These aren't really important features, but they would be nice. Also I should mention that it's a rather girly car. It has the most delicate beep when you lock it and its honk is also rather soft spoken.
