1997 Acura Integra -
The Acura Integra is one of the finest vehicles I've ever purchased, and of purchase quite a lot of vehicles in my short lifetime. The handling on this car is superb and mechanically speaking, the Acura Integra is an animal with longevity in mind, typical of Japanese cars. I'm telling you, this is a superb machine that is underrated, mechanically speaking to anything you can purchase for it's price and meets or beats any vehicle from it's generation, although it a lot cheaper than most of the Japanese cars of it's generation. 5 Stars for the Integra

I can honestly say that women absolutely love a man that drives this car and any car that is as elegant, well-built, slick and beautiful as it is. With this car, I can definitely say I've got my bang for my buck, if you get my drift ;)

Handles well
over 100,000 miles driven in this car and all I've had to do is change the oil
one of the most beautiful cars it's generation
the leather seats and "bad-boy" styling are to die for

They stopped making the Integra. What a bummer. The classic car of my generation

1997 Acura Integra - Love my car!!!
There are not many cars built even today that can match the driving fun and parts available for upgrade, utility, and reliability that the GSR hatchback offers. Add good fuel economy even by 2013 standards for a sports car category. For 16 years it's been a serious winner, and I can see why thieves are the biggest detriment to owning one. Shifter/clutch are light feeling even when traffic gets heavy. This car does not let you feel like it's a liability. The best places are roads with numerous curves to exploit the " handling on rails " feeling. My tachometer redlines at 8,000 rpm so I get the feeling of F1 performance from a car costing $20K when it was new. Basic interior.

Driving 80 miles everyday. The car is a smooth drive, and I love driving it to work on 95 every morning.

I am the second owner of my 1997 Acura Integra LS. People are shocked to learn it is nearly 20 years old. The mileage is creeping up there (just like me), and I have kept up with all the regular maintenance like timing belt and exhaust replacements when needed, just like I would check and maintain my own health issues as I get older. I am in pretty good shape for my age. So is my Integra. I have had no major problems, and none that you wouldn't expect from an older car. Another amazing phenomenon is that it has, just the last year, just started to rust a little around the wheel wells, but I live in the northeast. I expected a whole lot more than what it is. Kind of like my wrinkles. It rides and travels beautifully, and the gas mileage on this little girl is unbelievable! I get about 36 or 37 MPG on the highway. The other thing I like about the Integra is that there are very few blind spots around the car, unlike a lot of newer model cars. The Integra handles really well on snowy roads but not so good on ice (what vehicle does?) It sits low to the ground, so if there is a major snowfall, you have to tuck yourself in after the first few inches are on the roads until the road crews get out to plow. That hasn't been an inconvenience for me at all.
The one "negative" I would have to include is the headlights. High beam on this car is less quality than low beam on most newer cars and the radius of the lighting area is not the best. If you are travelling in an area where there is a risk of large animals wandering onto the road, this could be a concern because you can't see them alongside the road very well.

1999 Acura Integra - Quick, light, dependable.
The Integra had speed, but others in the test had more of it. What the GS-R offered was the purest talents at the lowest price. All-independent suspension with front control arms. all-season performance tires on 15-inch alloy wheels. Dual airbags. Side-impact protection. Air conditioning. Power moonroof. Cruise control. An AM/FM/cassette stereo with six speakers. The new Integra displays the fresh clean appearance of sports cars in the 90s. From the front its distinctive rounded wedge shape starts with a low nose and sweeps back to the short high rear deck that is topped off by spoiler. Four projector-style headlights and a wide air intake below the integrated bumper highlight the front. Great little car that can be used for daily driving and/or sport driving. Long trips are comfortable. Has awesome cargo space because the rear seats fold down and the trunk is like a hatchback. Might be a bit uncomfortable for taller/bigger people.
Hydro-locked the engine and blew 2 rods. Needed to rebuild or replace, I choose to rebuild, and it hasn't let me down since. The rebuild only took 3 days with a 30$ socket set. Still driving it to this day and with winter tires, its a beast in the snow.

Fun reliable, fast, good handling, perfect finish. It was so well built, nothing ever broke except the antenna:). This car was so low you had the impression of being an inch or two of the ground. Best car I've ever driven. Hands down. Quick, nimble, good on gas, parts easy to find and cheap, even aftermarket (especially,) room for 4 15"s in the trunk, and the Honda B motor offers unlimited upgrade potential. More swap possibilities than you can comprehend, p/w ratio pretty good from the factory. Reliable and strong motor.

If you want speed and power out of the box, this is not it. My clutch will have to be replaced within the next 5000 miles. Hearing loss was inevitable, ride was a little harsh. Small storage space, road noise. Leaves you wanting more and gets slower every time you beat it. Stuck antenna (wont retract), hatch lock stuck (takes two hands to open), the calipers on the cars are junk! Replace them before 50k miles on the car or trouble will ensue. Also window slides jam up. Rust in areas on hood.
