The Corolla is a pretty sweet car, and even the older models like mine have good features and handle well. My car still gets excellent gas mileage and has had very few technical issues. I've driven it from one side of the country to the other, and it functioned without a hitch. Some of the cheaper plastic parts don't last very long, like the drink holders or door handles, but those are easily fixed.

The car feels zippy at first but then quickly loses the luster as you realize that a 2012 base model Ford Focus may as well have driven out of the 1990s. You can tell Ford wanted to spend as little money as possible on these base models. The back seat has a laughable amount of room for a second passenger to sit in. No one is able to sit in the rear seats if there is a passenger or a driver. The only saving grace of the car is that it gets really good gas mileage on the highway.
