Great workhorse mid-size pickup
The GMC Canyon (near-identical twin to Chevrolet Colorado) is just what you need if you're looking for a pickup to actually do work, not just look cool while you take your groceries home. It doesn't have the power of capacity of a full-size pickup, but it doesn't cost as much to buy or operate, either. Fit and finish are good, and the inline 5 has plenty of power.

I had never had a truck in my life and really wanted to get one, but didn't want one that would be so big that I would hate the gas mileage. I settled on this as it was on the smaller side but enough to pack my gear in. Just a bad product though. Engine had continual timing belt issues, breaks would grind and the trim pieces would pop up. To top it all off, electrical issues of course. Would never get a GMC product again.

It does the job
The truck looks nice and is comfortable enough. I've had small electronic issues with the truck almost since day one. There was a major ignition issue with it two years ago that cost about $900 to fix. The window motors have had to be replaced a few times. The gas mileage is not what I expected it to be (it's lower than what you would think a small 5 cylinder truck would seem to get). It is a small truck and my next vehicle will probably be a car just to have more room.
