Great for kids
The GMC Yukon Denali is great for transporting children. It seats seven, so the whole family can ride in comfort. The rear seats are all collapsible as well, so when you have to go grocery shopping, you can easily put all your bags in the rear. The very rear access is also easy to open, as you just squeeze the handle and it lifts itself. It has the option to heat or cool the seats, which is nice in extreme cold or heat. The AC and heat in the vehicle are both still going strong. Gas mileage is better than expected, with a trip of over 300 miles this summer was completed with only one full tank, with about 1/4 of the tank left! The vehicle also has a handy backup cam that beeps at me if anything is behind me while in reverse, and displays a clear image of what my path looks like on the front display panel when I'm backing up. Also, plays DVDs on a screen that comes down behind front driver/passenger seats. No major issues with any vital components. Still running just as strong as ever with minimum maintenance. The vehicle is also great for large pet transportation. I can fit my seven full-grown labs in the vehicle with great ease, and they enjoy the ride. The major problem is the door handles. The passenger front is stuck closed, it will not open. You can feel that the handles on interior as well as exterior do not engage when you pull it to try and open the door. The rear driver and passenger door handles on the exterior both still currently work, but they are no longer completely attached and as such they dangle about the door and must be pushed back in to open the door. Also, there has been an airbag recall on the original airbags in the vehicle.

Perfect family vehicle.
The reason why I bought the vehicle was for the third row. I settled on this specific model because of the affordability first. The price was reasonable for the quality that I felt I was receiving, and the features met most of my wants and needs. The captains chairs make getting to the third row easier, and eliminates the headache of kids climbing all over seats. Since this was a two wheel drive vehicle the gas mileage was still pretty reasonable for a full sized SUV, and even though the vehicle was larger it still handled similar to the smaller vehicle that I was used to prior to owning this vehicle. The other big selling point for me was the fact that you have the option to fold seats down or even completely remove them. This option off set the down side of the vehicles limited storage space in the back hatch. The only time the storage space has ever really been a problem is on longer trips where we have to get a little more creative with how we pack and store our things. The only things that I'm really not a huge fan of are the tire sensors that are constantly an issue and falsely alarming you that tires are low on air, the plastic molding that it obviously cheaply made as the dashboard just randomly cracked (for no reason other than quality I can assume), and the labeling on the buttons and dash wear off over time which I would think would be an issue that wouldn't exist any longer.
