It's a great and reliable car.
I really like the way my car looks to start out with. It's red with a tan interior, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. I could just imagine myself driving it which as a good sign, because looking at other cars, I couldn't. I have friends that also drive Elantra's, so they recommended it to me. It was built in 2013 and only had 13,000 miles on it when I got it which I really liked. It was used as a loaner car at CarMax when others were getting work done, so I knew it hadn't been overdriven. I was a little worried that it might be kind of dirty inside from lots of different people driving it, but it surprisingly wasn't and has been fine. It drives smoothly, which I like because my last car did not and hasn't really given me any problems -- except shortly after I got it I thought it was leaking something (it was the air conditioning ,and I apparently am an idiot), and the air pressure in the tires went down rather quickly. Since then, the car's been fine, and I absolutely love it. I do wish it had a back-up camera, though as sometimes when I'm parallel parking, it's hard to judge how large the car is. I know I have bad depth perception, and I should've gotten a car with a back-up camera to begin with, but I didn't, and I wish I had. One thing I found interesting is the pedal for the car -- the toe part pushes down instead of the heel.

Affordable, but bare-bone
It is a standard car with very little extras. It comes with Bluetooth, which is a plus, but aside from that, it doesn't have really much else internally. The sound system is lackluster, the seats are cloth, the interface is made of plastic and looks very cheap. Everything about the interior of the car is boring and lacks features. In terms of the driving experience, the handling is very good. Turning feels smooth and reliable, but accelerating is a bit of chore. It takes a little bit of time for me to accelerate at lights as opposed to my other cars. It has an eco mode, which is great, but it doesn't really end up saving me any money. Its MPG is remarkable, however. It gets around 35 MPG highway very reliably, and on long trips, I've averaged about 40 MPG on highway. In terms of reliability, it is a little bit weak. I've had the car battery die on me once already within the year from driving just three times a week. For its price though, I don't think you'll get a better value. It's affordable and it does its job.

A Pleasant Experience
The Hyundai Elantra is an affordable, sleek vehicle with power steering and power brakes.
It has 38 miles to the gallon, enough for those back-and-forth trips across town.
Seating is comfortable, soft and easy to fit into.
Most of all, it comes equipped with a standard air conditioner and superior stereo sound for the long trips ahead.
It's everything you want in a Hyundai, plus a bit more for an affordable price!
