I initially leased this vehicle in Oct of 2007. When the lease was up, I financed the purchase. I currently have 130,000+ miles and the gas mileage is still at around 30 mpg. The only issue I have is that the body is put together with plastic clips and I've had some issues with the underneath plastic coming undone and I've had to replace it.

This is a great vehicle, it has all-wheel drive, excellent construction, and has been a Consumer Reports top safety pick for its year. The Impreza sports a bullet proof engine, no major issues or recalls. It has all the features, a sunroof, navigation module, and radio/cd player. I had the Coupe edition, so the trunk and hauling capacity is a bit small. The rear seats do not fold down so the trunk size is fixed. I drive manual and am comfortable with manual, but many Americans prefer automatic. This is the most reliable car I have ever owned. 19 years old and still running strong. It's been back and forth across the country four times and has over 130,000 miles. Subaru really put a lot of thought into the design. Everything has standard bolts and fasteners, no special tools needed to maintain. The engine bay layout is good, making it simple to change your own oil or perform other maintenance without having to take the engine apart. The engine does not require premium fuel, so fuel costs are good. Parts are plentiful and the dealer still stocks everything for hard to find parts.
