My 1999 Cherokee has 150K miles on it and has required nothing but routine maintenance. It never broke down, never gave me any trouble. Too bad Jeep really dropped the ball soon after this model.

What a wonderful vehicle. Everyone one that I know that has had one has gotten at least 300k miles before needing major repairs and mine is well on it's way. Currently sitting at 188000 miles I have driven this jeep across the country 6 times. No major breakdowns and no work done other than new tires. The interior is comfortable for long trips, for a 4wd vehicle the gas mileage is excellent. As an added bonus, with the backseat folded down there is plenty of room to sleep, saving over $100 a night on hotels.
