Good fuel efficient compact SUV.
My favorite thing about this car is that it has some of the room and towing capacity of an SUV, but is still very good on gas. The one disappointing thing is that the salesman told me it has 4 wheel drive, but I couldn't initially find how to turn it on and now I'm not so sure that it does. One feature that is hard to figure out is the CVT, or continuous variable transmission. If you don't know what that is, it means this car doesn't necessarily have your standard 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear etc. It works like an automatic transmission to find the right gear. However, you can move the stick shift left or right to shift up or down in various situations. So if you are towing something you still can downshift if you need to. However, sometimes the CVT seems like it's struggling to find the right gear and makes a strange noise. All you have to do to fix this is to lift off of the throttle, but it still took me a little while to figure out what was going on. The look of the vehicle is very appealing, and unless it is sitting right next to a larger SUV, you can't really tell that it is even that much smaller than a normal size SUV, and what really makes it a good deal is the gas mileage. If given the opportunity, I would buy this vehicle again, but I would make sure it actually is a 4 wheel drive, although this has more to do with the salesman than the car.

I love my car.
The Compass keeps true to the Jeep name. It might not be able to go off road like the Wrangler, but if you are young and live in an area that has unpaved roads and snow, this car will get you there. The Compass is reliable, and the gas mileage is great for a four-wheel drive. My husband uses my car more than his to save money of gas and for long trips like when we go camping. The interior doesn't get hot in the summer so burning your self when you sit down won't happen, and its still easy to clean. Safety is amazing too. I was involved in a car accident a few years back, a driver ran a red light and my car didn't get totaled and I was safe and only had whiplash, can't say the same for the car and driver who hit me. I haven't had many issues that you wouldn't see with other used cars. I'm sure if I bought this new, a lot of the issues I had wouldn't of happened. Most of the stress I had about my car had to do with mechanics trying to rip me off and selling me old used parts as new which damaged my car. The locking system and stereo are basic for people who don't need all the flash and just want to drive. It's easy to drive and maneuver in awkward areas and parking is a breeze. I'm planning on giving my car to my sister when she's old enough to drive, that's how much I trust it.
