I've always been a Ford guy. One of the things that caught my eye on this truck was the instrument panel illumination. It may sound superficial, but it looks super-cool at night. The ride is very quiet - quieter than my Explorer. The finish, curves and angles of the body panels make for one solid truck. The attention to detail and consideration for the needs of the driver are noticeable. I have the smallest, naturally aspirated V-6 available and it has always provided plenty of punch when I needed it. I have squatted the truck with several loads of wood and it's never complained.
Story
Everyone thinks the tailgate step is the coolest thing. They'll ask, "what's that?" When I demonstrate the step, the reaction is always the same, "Ohhhhhhh... Now that's cool!"
Pros
Fog lights, adjustable headrests, step bars, MySYNC system with Bluetooth, and of course the tailgate step that folds down to make the bed of the truck much more easily accessible. The automatic instrument panel lighting will adjust to the ambient light conditions - brighter during the day to contrast against the sunlight and more subtle at night. The access to the rear seats is easy with full-swing of the half-doors. The door handle to the rear seats is very intuitive. Heated, adjustable side-view mirrors will darken automatically to reduce glare during the day time as will the rear-v... (more)
Cons
I wish there was a grab handle for the driver. There is one for the passenger, though. The factory tires seemed to wear too soon and I anticipated an early replacement, but the treadware seemed to plateau and is no longer a concern. The "chrome" grill is plastic and has a cheap feel to it.

My 2008 Ford F-150 STX4X4 has been exactly the vehicle I was looking for when I started looking to replace its predecessor. My previous truck was a 1996 Ford F-150 though not 4X4. The 2008 Ford has a one touch starting system which was a new experience for me. At first it felt as if I had given up control of the starting process but, now that I have become accustomed to it, I hate the thought of going back to an ignition switch that I must hold to keep the starter engaged. At 72,000 miles and nearly nine years of age, it still has not posed any problems. The 2008 extended cab has the two small, rear hinge doors for the rear passengers that the '96 did not. They are good quality doors that close and seal quite well and the easy access they provide is invaluable. This style of cab makes ... (more)
Story
Driving around the Roan Mtn State Park Campground with the band playing bluegrass on the tailgate (sans bass) to advertise the show that evening.
Pros
Cab design, smooth and powerful small economic engine.
Cons
Absence of side steps and wear on seat. Probably only an issue with four wheel drive.

It was the only dealership I went to when looking for the car. I knew the car I wanted and went for it. What makes this dealership so great for me however is how much they were willing to work with me and always willing to help me when I had to bring the car back in. My car ended up being a lemon and it was actually in the shop for more than 60 days. Throughout the entire process they always worked to make my experience as good as it could be.

This dealership was very fair and straight with me about price. I knew exactly what I wanted when I went in there. I wanted a used Ford Taurus under 10,000 dollars with less than 40,000 miles. I had been to a couple of other dealerships who tried to tell me what I wanted, instead of me telling them. This place gave me a price, helped me with financing and it has been a GREAT car.
