My 2008 Ford F-150 STX4X4 has been exactly the vehicle I was looking for when I started looking to replace its predecessor. My previous truck was a 1996 Ford F-150 though not 4X4. The 2008 Ford has a one touch starting system which was a new experience for me. At first it felt as if I had given up control of the starting process but, now that I have become accustomed to it, I hate the thought of going back to an ignition switch that I must hold to keep the starter engaged. At 72,000 miles and nearly nine years of age, it still has not posed any problems. The 2008 extended cab has the two small, rear hinge doors for the rear passengers that the '96 did not. They are good quality doors that close and seal quite well and the easy access they provide is invaluable. This style of cab makes ... (more)
Story
Driving around the Roan Mtn State Park Campground with the band playing bluegrass on the tailgate (sans bass) to advertise the show that evening.
Pros
Cab design, smooth and powerful small economic engine.
Cons
Absence of side steps and wear on seat. Probably only an issue with four wheel drive.

This truck has been one of the best investments I ever made. It has over 200,000 miles on it with very few problems. I have kept up on the regular maintenance, but still impressed with the lack of issues. The gas mileage has been good for a full-size truck. Even though, as a work truck, there are quite a few dents and dings, the paint has held up surprising well. For a truck, the ride is very smooth. Even though it has a six-cylinder engine, towing has never been a problem. I really like the shape and style of the body. The four doors come in handy for hauling grandchildren. It is very comfortable even on long drives. Changing the turn signal bulbs was far easier than some other vehicles I've owned. It will be a sad day when I have to finally retire it. I have been driving for more tha... (more)
Story
I took my grandsons camping. We were able to load all our gear and three kayaks in the back.
Pros
Reliable, heavy duty, stylish, crew cab.
Cons
Not as comfortable as the Dodge I use to drive.

We love this truck. It is solid black, and it's a tough work truck. My son and I live on a farm, and we use this truck to complete many of our daily tasks. It has over 180,000 miles on it, and it's never given us any trouble. The battery and tires are the only things we've had to replace. It's been used to haul things and to pull/tow things, and it's always performed to our satisfaction.
Story
If you like to go off-road driving, you can have a lot of fun in this vehicle. One time my son drove it off-road with some of his friends who also drive trucks. Some of the trucks got stuck in the mud, but not this one. In fact, he used this truck to free the ones that were stuck. He never lets his friends live that down.
Pros
This truck has over 180,000 miles on it, and it runs great. It's a sturdy truck. The seats and interior are tough. It has some wear and tear, but the seats haven't torn, the electronics still function, and it still drives very smoothly. With this truck we've removed tree stumps, pulled other vehicles out of the mud, and pulled our tractor to get it repaired. It's very powerful and sturdy.
Cons
This truck has a manual transmission. It's not necessarily a con, but you have to know how to drive one in order to drive this truck. It is high off the ground, so if you're short like me, you have to really pull yourself up to get in it.

It was the only dealership I went to when looking for the car. I knew the car I wanted and went for it. What makes this dealership so great for me however is how much they were willing to work with me and always willing to help me when I had to bring the car back in. My car ended up being a lemon and it was actually in the shop for more than 60 days. Throughout the entire process they always worked to make my experience as good as it could be.

This dealership was very fair and straight with me about price. I knew exactly what I wanted when I went in there. I wanted a used Ford Taurus under 10,000 dollars with less than 40,000 miles. I had been to a couple of other dealerships who tried to tell me what I wanted, instead of me telling them. This place gave me a price, helped me with financing and it has been a GREAT car.
