The 2014 Ford Fusion SE is the best mid-size sedan for the average American driver. The comfort of the ride is simply amazing. It feels like you're riding on a cloud. The way the rubber meets the road sounds just as smooth as it feels. I would compare the comfort level to that of a Lincoln Continental. The level of acceleration it can achieve is astounding, considering that it only has four cylinders and a turbo of push to work with. This is even more impressive when you drop it into sport mode and put the RPSs past 4000--it takes off.
Story
I took this car to the top of an airport garage with my girlfriend and a bag-full of Taco Bell to watch the planes take off and land. I have also taken this car on multiple road trips around Ohio, to Chicago and back, planning on a cross-country trek this coming Spring to LA.
Pros
I really like the little details that were put into the design of this car. In the trunk, the arms that hold the lid up recess into the trunk liner. This seems brilliant, especially when packing for a road trip. There is no guessing as to whether the lid will shut. I also like the puddle lights on the mirrors. This is the first car I have had to have these, and it makes the potentially hazardous walk up to the car much easier. I love the automatic electronics shut-off. When you have something connected to the battery and on, such as the radio, without the engine running, the car will autom... (more)
Cons
There are a couple things in this car that could handle a redesign. First, my battery went bad. That's not the poor design. When I went to open the trunk to retrieve my jumper cables, I discovered I couldn't open it because it's an electronic trunk release. There is not a key hole in the lid and no manual way to pop it, less the release latch on the inside of the lid. My other bark is that the battery shelf in the engine compartment is in the very back right, partially under the trim. The industry I work in requires me to regularly jumpstart other cars. With one of the leads being partiall... (more)

I bought my 2013 Ford Fusion a little over 2 years ago, and it had just over 12000 miles on it. I have put about 19000 miles on it. I keep it up and it takes care of me. It is very comfortable both for myself and my passengers. I made sure to not just sit in the driver seat when I was shopping for it. I also sat in the front and rear passenger seats. It is roomy. The trunk is also bigger than you would expect. It can hold a lot, but the door can be limiting if you have large luggage or a big home improvement project. I do some side jobs on the side (drywall and garage door repair) and I can fit all of my tools inside with room to spare. The car runs quieter than any I have ever owned. The engine is quiet but that doesn't mean it doesn't "go." The car has average acceleration, gets dece... (more)
Story
My friend works for a Ford dealership and he helped me find this car. He has the 2012 model, which makes his 1 year older than mine. The first time he and I took a bit of a trip (we enjoy visiting different micro breweries in Northeast Ohio) he was very impressed with my car. As much as he likes his, he commented that mine was quieter and a smoother ride. I was happy that it was my turn to dri... (more)
Pros
Quiet, reliable engine. Very comfortable seats. Roomy feel. The stereo, speakers, power windows and all digital parts have all operated without failure the entire time I have owned the vehicle. The heating and the AC are freaking awesome, as I live in Ohio and have to deal with weather between 10 and 98 degrees Fahrenheit at different times of the year.
Cons
I got the standard fabric seats in gray color. These stain easily. There are little pieces of trim built into the doors (I have the 4-door sedan). These cracked with just a little pressure applied to them. It's not a big deal, and most people don't even notice, but it just annoys me when I see them.

I was involved in an accident and knew exactly what I wanted to buy (the same car I had previously). I called around and they were able to find me the car I was looking for at a a decent price. It was a pretty good experience that didn't take me that much effort. Everyone I had contact with was professional.

It was easy to speak with a dealer. I felt no pressure at all. Their website price match the price being listed at the dealer. I was not rushed and put first.
