I am honestly pretty tired of this car and I will certainly be looking for a new one soon. I bought it out of sheer desperation when my last vehicle broke down and was going to cost over $5000 to repair. I did not have much confidence that the car mechanics even found everything wrong with my vehicle so I decided to sell it and get a different car. When I found this car, it seemed like it would be the complete opposite of the vehicle I was getting rid of - it would be something positive for me, much more fuel efficient, inexpensive and a nice little car to drive around but it turned out to be none of that at all. The maintenance costs are beyond insane. I test drove it before purchase and the test drive went very well. I felt I was happy enough with the car and it seemed like it worked... (more)
Story
I haven't experienced anything fun in this car at all. It has really been more misery than anything. I think it's been the second worst car I've ever owned after the Dodge Neon I once had when I was younger. That car was the absolute worst.
Pros
I think the car is fairly decent as far as fuel efficiency goes. I feel like I don't have to fill up my gas tank all the time. The CD changer that came in my model of the car is nice also. It holds multiple CDs and is easy to switch between CDs and songs. Additional add-ons like satellite radio are standard in this car, which is convenient. The car contains USB chargers which is nice to charge phones, iPod and other USB devices. The glove box is a decent size. I think the vehicle is attractive enough, as are the leather seats. The heated seats function well during winter. They are very war... (more)
Cons
The maintenance costs have been too high for this car. It seemed like it could be a smart purchase and a good value when I was in the market for a car but it was not. Last year, I made many major repairs on this vehicle which were costly. This year, I have had to make quite a few repairs also which was extremely expensive. Now my car is stalling and quits on me while driving down the street. I have never had a vehicle do something like this. It is an accident waiting to happen. I do not know how much this is going to cost to repair but they say it will be $100 for another inspection which ... (more)

The car has to be one of the better all-around cars that I have driven. From a daily commuter standpoint, I find that it is excellent for the price. When evaluating all the standard car metrics such as acceleration, braking, visibility, gas mileage, etc., it falls right in the middle of the pack while being an extremely affordable option.
Story
When trying to find a tight parking spot in Columbus, this car is one of the easiest to park. I recall taking the last parking spot at a fireworks showing due to the fact that only a smaller car would fit.
Pros
One of the biggest perks of this car is the visibility the driver has. I didn't notice it so much until I had to drive multiple company cars which would be classified as luxury vehicles. The rear and side visibility is simply excellent. Another great thing about this car is the manual transmission. While the automatics may be experiencing problems, the manual feels great and hasn't given me even the slightest worry in over 6 years of ownership.
Cons
The biggest complaint I have about this car would be cabin noise. When driving on the freeway, the audible road noise fills the cabin quite heavily and can be distracting. I can sometimes get used to it, but when traveling in other cars, I forget how loud this car really is. Around town, it's not an issue, but it certainly can be at higher speeds.

The dealer answered all my questions and made sure that I was fully aware as to what kind of car it is and how much mileage it had on it. I was shown other cars but went with the ford focus since it matched what I needed.

They were nice and patient. Let me test out a couple cars and had fair prices.
