I am very pleased with the car. It has given me five years of faithful service. It has 128,000 miles and is still going strong. The exterior design is functional and pleasing. The car has a coupe body style and a manual transmission. I enjoy driving it. It accelerates nicely. The car provides a quite, comfortable ride at all speeds. The interior is roomy and is nicely laid out. The truck is large. The back seat folds down there by providing an extension to the trunk's floor which extends the size of the cargo area. The headlights provide excellent illumination at night. The instrument panel is logically organized and is all easy to see at night. Two ports are provided for plugging in electronic gadgets such as a GPS or a cell' 'phone charger. The counsel storage are is large. The only ... (more)
Story
I reside in Central Oregon. One day last winter there was much snow on the ground. I was able to drive my car out while many of my neighbors were unable to do so
Pros
The design overall design, the design of the interior. Its handling on snow. Its acceleration. The size of the trunk. Its comfort and quite when cruising at high speeds or low speeds. The number of ports for chargers for GPS and cell' 'phones. That it has a USB part. The comfort of its seats when traveling in it for extended periods of time. It has a manual transmission
Cons
The paint on the lower edges of the body has been worn down to primer by the sand that is placed on the roads during the winter. A larger glove compartment would have been handy.

This car was purchased for economy and gas mileage. I was not interested very much in the style. It was reasonably comfortable in the front but tight in the back seat. Unfortunately, it was the first model year and there were many problems. It became quickly clear that important structural parts such as bearings (we went through 3 within a year) and tire studs (one twisted and broke with hand turning) were not made robust enough and overall we experienced 17 separate recalls on ours. At one point, when the engine light went on, the dealership kept the car some ten weeks during which we put 8,000 miles on a loaner car.
Story
Not really. Although, despite the closeness to the ground, we were able to visit some state and national parks whose roads were pretty rough and it held up pretty well for that stuff.
Pros
It got pretty good mileage on the highway. It handled okay although it was difficult to see out the mirrors. It braked okay and the brakes lasted a reasonable amount of time. After several years, the car seemed to become more reliable and we had less trouble with it as it got older. The car is still on the road, but just barely.
Cons
This car had 17 recalls. It was not roomy, and it seemed that the trunk was oddly shaped so that no matter what you tried to put in it you had a heck of a time fitting it. The back seats had no leg room and had to be folded down from inside the truck. The car was very noisy and before too long the dashboard seemed to develop a new rattle every day. Small parts all over broke easily just through regular use, such as the clip that holds the hood latch pull, fuse holders, and such. And of course, the legendary Ford safety belts that seems to always get stuck in the car door or trapped where y... (more)

I bought my Toyota Corolla brand new in 2007. It was my very first car. I have put over 94,000 miles on it in the last seven years. Overall, I have been very happy with it. I bought this specific car because I knew that Toyotas are reliable, and I wanted good fuel economy, because I knew I'd be using it to commute to work (over 40 miles round-trip--though I recently moved close to work.) I have never had any major problems with my Corolla. I take my car in for maintenance every 5,000 miles or 6 months (and the car has a light that comes on to remind me). Except for a few minor things that my extended warranty covered, I have only had to replace things that normally wear down, like the tires, brakes, and the battery. When I got my tires replaced, was told that they lasted 50,000 miles l... (more)
Story
I can't think of any fun story. I just feel like I've driven my car everywhere, though that only says so much since I live on an island (Oahu, Hawaii). My car is like an old friend. I've been through a lot with it (though much of that included sitting in horrible rush hour traffic!). I'd definitely buy another Toyota for my next car, though I'm considering a Prius next time.
Pros
Reliability! I don't have to worry about my car constantly breaking down! I've always been a bit fearful of breaking down on the side of the road, so my Corolla gives me peace of mind.
Cons
I wish the maintenance was cheaper, but that's probably a negative for any car. Cars are just expensive to own and maintain.
