Great value for the price and the age of car
I bought this car used for $1,000 with 144,000 miles on it. I have had this car for two years now and have run it ragged and it has not failed on me yet. I have encountered no break-downs, no noises, and have only raves about what a good car I got for $1,000 dollars. I actually have never liked Fords but this car is sleek, sporty, and well designed. The only design flaw it has it that there is no arm rest in between the driver's seat and passenger seat. That and the way the driver's seat has worn down are my only complaints so far. The seat has become uncomfortable over the years. There is a hard portion of the chair's frame that is protruding into my body in the seat portion and the back portion due to the cushions getting more deflated with time. The car is a stick shift and not having an arm rest in the middle between the seats took a bit to get used to and still wish almost everyday that they would have designed the interior with this feature. But for the price and how reliable it has been the seat and no armrest is well worth the trade. I drive a 14 year old car and drive at ease with little worry it will break down it has been that dependable.

Solid performer
This Ford Focus hatchback has been a solid performer for me so far. The gas mileage has been very good at about 35 MPG with mostly highway driving. It handles well and has decent power. The only major issues have been the clutch/transmission. The car has a odd automatic transmission that features a manual transaxle with a clutch. They've had recalls for this, and my issues were covered by the warranty.
