I had a cute blue ford focus hatchback. It was reasonably priced and ran great. Had lots of trunk space, though the back seats were cramped. Was able to drive across the country in it with no issues. It was distinctive enough that it was easy to find in a parking lot. Had terrific gas mileage. The engine worked like a dream, however about two years of ownership it began to have electrical issues. The power windows would work only sporadically. Later I also had some trouble with the radiator and air-conditioning, but these weren't major repairs. Also the trunk stopped staying open and fell on my head a few times. Overall this was a very reliable car.
Story
I used it to go to a "Doctor Who" convention and got a lot of compliments because of the color.
Pros
It's cute, has a great engine, very roomy for a compact, it has a distinctive look, great gas mileage, enough room by spare tire for a jack, jumper cables, etc. Great 360 viability.
Cons
Electrical issues, small back seat, having a blue car in a city full of LA Angel's fans was a bad idea, I'd get strange looks when I worked at the stadium. I finally had to put a decal on the back because security kept making sure I really worked there.

It is a car that will take you from Point A to Point B and nothing else. The gas mileage is average, and the car is just boring. I remember looking for a car for an emergency and this was the cheapest that I was able to find for the year. The car is comfortable but not too much. I remember seeing this car in Need for Speed Underground and it was a fast car in the game... the reality is that the car is nothing like in the game.
Story
Everytime when i was in the Highway trying to pass a slow person I had to do it with a lot of anticipation and most of the time We were just able to get next to them to the point it become a running joke
Pros
Good mileage, cheap to maintain, feels stable, fits 5 people, there are a lot of spare parts in many yards, even if you think that there is something wrong with the transmission you are probably wrong, the car is just slow, all the time I had it never had a problem with the motor or transmission. Buy this car if this is going to be you first car, if not you will see that this car is slow.
Cons
This has to be the most boring car I have had, and I had Ford cars in the past. Somehow this car is in the point were it is just boring. I remember not even bothering to change the stereo because it didn't inspire anything. I used this car to go commute to my work place everyday for at least 1 hour, and I remember that the car felt slow and heavy.
