2012 Toyota Yaris - Fun to drive, cute, good gas mileage
I really like how the car can zip up to the speed limit. It doesn't seem to have trouble accelerating like some smaller cars have. While there does seem to be some difficulties on hills, I really enjoy driving around town and on the freeway in this car. I don't think I would pick another compact/sub-compact over it.
Story
I loved driving to Las Vegas in this car! What was normally a boring drive turned into something fun and energetic alongside a couple friends. We made the trip in no time at all on very little gas.
Pros
I really enjoy the sound system in my Yaris. Nice, booming bass while driving down the highway, zooming along and not worrying about a thing in the world. I like the gas mileage too, as prices continue to soar in my state and area.
Cons
Has a little bit of an under steer. I don't like having to add on an after-market item to help compensate for the under steer. Also, some of the interior feels cheap. Nevertheless, this is understandable for a car of this particular price range.
2007 Toyota Yaris - Reliable little car
This was the first new car that I bought, and it has been an great little car. It has withstood my daughter from toddlerhood to pre-teen years and is still running. I love the fact that I was able to buy a car that I could afford, and it still is getting me from place to place after all of these years. It says a lot about the car, but also about Toyota as a reliable brand.
Story
This was the first car I was able to take a road trip in, and my family and I took a great road trip up the CA coast to Hearst Castle. We didn't have to stop a hundred times for gas, and it was a wonderful car to find parking in. It gave me a real sense of freedom.
Pros
Great gas mileage, reliable even after 11 years, easy maintenance, easily customization.
Cons
Small, not great for a growing family, items that came original were kind of cheap and needed to be replaced.
