1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra - Quite possibly the best car ever made by Ford- Definitely one of the best cars I've ever owned

I have had my Cobra for over 16 years now, and it has given me the least amount of trouble of any car/truck I have ever owned. Not to mention the fact that you can bury the needle on the speedo and be going well over 150 mph before you know it. Handles great, hauls, and is exceptionally reliable! I can't speak for all Mustang Cobra owners, but this SVT is truly priceless to me.
Story
When my wife and I moved back home to Texas from our temporary stay in Montana - this car was a rockstar! My wife hauled balls back Texas in that Cobra, and only had to fill the 15 gallon tank four times! Not one little noise did this car make on the way, even though it was jammed full of the rest of our belongings and our Amazon parrot riding shotgun. Fantastic drive, even though I was the on... Pros
Not only fast, it's also quick (anyone who knows cars will understand this). Turns on a dime/fantastic turning radius. Super reliable. It always starts right up. Never have never had to make a major repair to this treasure, which would not be a problem anyways, as I'm an ASE certified. Master technician, and I diagnose and fix cars for a living. It sure is nice to have one that I don't have to work on after a long day of working on other people's pieces of crap though! A/C still blows strong and icy- amazing considering that it's a Ford! I have basically left this car stock as far as the e... (more)
Cons
Can't haul furniture like sofas, office desks, or large dressers/vanities (but you can haul boatloads of other stuff in it, along with smaller furniture items!!). Small trunk means that you will have to have some room in the backseat if you want to go to Costco and bring home a huge haul of stuff. Seats aren't all that comfortable, especially for long road trips and for anyone with a back injury or condition of any kind. Back seat room is pretty small, and has virtually no leg room. Not the best choice for those with kids or with need of a spacious rear seating area- lucky for me I don't h... (more)

I absolutely love this vehicle. It is such a blast to drive. If you want to smile from ear to ear while driving, this car is for you. Ford's SVT team created several special, rare vehicles for the driving enthusiast, the SVT Cobra being one of them It is the predecessor to the Shelby GT350 and GT500. The acceleration is other-worldly, and the sound of the powerful V8 engine roaring out of the dual exhaust is enough to send chills down your spine. The convertible just adds even more fun. The only possible down sides I could see to this car are it doesn't get the best gas mileage, plus you must put premium gasoline in it. However, if you are buying this car, you likely do not care about this at all. Another potential downside is that it interior is a bit dated, being an early 2000s Ford.... (more)
Story
Going on the Blue Ridge Parkway during the summer with the top down. Also going to the beach with the top down.
Pros
The best things that come to mind with this car are the unique and rare nature of it. Very rarely do you see a Cobra, and a convertible nonetheless. You know it is real when you see the snake badge. It is also very fast and sounds awesome. Additionally, it only comes in a manual transmission, which I view as a pro.
Cons
It is a bit expensive, it uses a lot of gas, and you have to keep it clean.

At over 600 horsepower, this Ford King Cobra Mustang is a beast of a car. With its awesome throttle body, air intake, air-to-liquid intercooler, fuel rail with high-flow injectors, and retuned ECU this car is well worth the price tag it comes with. It drives like a racing car with its explosive take off and hugging the curves with no problem. The interior has a great Mach 7 stereo system that sounds great. The only thing that I didn't like about the car is the style - it changed a little and it only came in certain colors that I was forced to choose from. But I get a lot of "Wows!" and compliments on my car. It does not waste a lot of gas - about 30mpg which isn't great but much better than my other cars. The sound it makes when it runs is awesome RRRRRRMMMM... the original sound of po... (more)
Story
They first time I drove it of lot it was the feeling of my life the looks and the thumbs up from everyone one was awseome. But the sound it made and the heads it turned was the one thing I remember the most because it was impressive to hear.
Pros
The engine, the air-to-liquid intercooler, the drag racing kit, stereo. Does not waste a lot of gas.
Cons
The body of the car changed a little. It's not that hard core looking style - kind of softer looking.
