This truck has always been a beast, a real workhorse. If anyone needs a vehicle with pulling power do not hesitate. Even though we have owned this vehicle for over 18 years it is still a well running machine. Yes when towing you don't get the best gas mileage but it has been reliable. Also since it is a common vehicle if something does go wrong we have been able to get it fixed which has been nice. No matter where we are at.
Title
When we hooked on to a Chevy truck that was trying pull out a wagon and was able to pull them both out
Pros
Well built durable sturdy Low maintenance Still running well after 18 years Very little rust after all these years towing power
Cons
Not the best gas mileage now that it is older it is a little rough riding.

I love this truck. I haul a three horse trailer with no problem. It's also my daily vehicle to and from work. It's comfortable and, considering its size, relatively easy to park/maneuver around.
Title
the woman who pulled up at a red light and yelled out her window 'i love your truck'
Pros
Towing capacity, comfort for long commute, ease of driving.
Cons
Could be more fuel efficient, electronic system is awesome but occasionally buggy (i.e. once a month or so it doesn't want to connect to iTunes for no apparent reason).

I purchased my 2004 EC250 (Econoline) Van on February 2nd 2013. It was formerly a Sears fleet vehicle; a strong selling point for the dealer. It clearly had been well cared for, although the new paint job was cheap. The back was filled with shelving and storage cabinets for tools which I tore out piece by piece and sold as scrap metal, for twenty seven dollars and some change. Now the vehicle was ready for its intended use; light hauling. In addition to these preparations I also change the oil, bought new tires, and had the front-end alignment done. I started to advertise, and although the demand was high in the area I was working in the competition was heavy, and it became obvious after a couple of months that it would be very difficult to turn a profit. While I waited for the title ... (more)
Pros
1. Power: as noted previously the Ford Triton 4.6 liter V8 is one amazing engine. Even with over 230,000 miles one it, it delivers the power one needs to haul heavy loads for long distances. When the vehicle is not heavily loaded, it is fast, and has good passing ability in traffic. 2. Cargo Capacity: There’s room for the contents of a small 2 bedroom apartment in the back of the thing. For an individual or family with a nomadic lifestyle it can be a life saver 3. Appearance: The vehicle has clean, smooth lines to it, and in spite of its bulk, there is a certain grace to it. 4. Safety and ... (more)
Cons
CONS: Expense of operation: This vehicle eats gas in traffic. When just trying to get around town, 20.00 doesn’t go very far. Size: The very thing that gives this vehicle its impressive cargo capacity makes it very difficult to park in urban areas. Insurance: In many states it becomes necessary to register and insure this vehicle as a commercial vehicle even when one is only using it for personal transportation, and non-commercial transport of bulky items. In New York City, it is entirely illegal to park it on the street over-night with commercial plates on it, and to register it as a per... (more)
