My 2004 F250 SD 6.0L power stroke has by far been the best vehicle I have owned in my life. I've always had either junk cars or small trucks and this Ford was the first vehicle I had that I actually love and take good care of. This truck has all the power you need when it comes to pulling campers and trailers. Many people have told me the 6.0L has a history of problems but I have over 175,000 miles on it and it still runs like the day I drove it off the lot. I didn't buy the truck new, I bought it with around 110,000 miles but throughout the 65,000 miles that I've put on it there really haven't been any problems to speak of other than normal wear and tare. Such as, oil changes, tires, filters, batteries, alternator, etc. The body is in great shape with minimal rust. Only rust I can fi... (more)
Story
I believe it was 2 years ago I went to a motocross track named Miles Mountain Motocross located in Elkland Pa. I didn't have a camper at the time or a tent so me and my dog both had to sleep in the back seat of the truck for 2 nights straight. I can honestly say that I actually did sleep well and the back seat had more room than I expected for me and my golden retriever.
Pros
The best part about this vehicle is that it has a crew cab which makes riding inside of it very comfortable especially if you have a family. I've only sat in the back seat a couple times but when you are back there it has more room than any other vehicle that I have ever been in and is very comfortable and plenty of leg room even with the front seats all the way towards the back. I've even had to sleep in the back seat and believe it or not it is quite comfortable and roomy in case of have to. This vehicle also has all the towing power you'll ever need in a truck when it comes to trailers ... (more)
Cons
The big negative about this vehicle is the fact that it likes to guzzle some diesel. This is common for this size of vehicle but at around 14 mpg, the diesel sure adds up and drains the wallet in a hurry. Another negative I would have to say is the cost of the tires. I seem to go through tires faster than normal even with a routine tire rotation and I don't do any purposefully burn outs but the tires don't seem to last as long as they should and at around $200 a pop, this cost sure adds up quick. I think another con which really doesn't bother me any, would be the looks of the interior on ... (more)

My F-250 was the biggest truck I had ever driven. It has been to the snow, mud and back country roads. It's durability and reliability have been amazing. All power windows, locks, chairs, sun roof still work which out lasted my 2004 Expedition. It has 140,000 miles and recently had a blown head gasket. We did have to replace the alternators 5 times along with batteries but otherwise between oil changes and regular maintenance has been the best truck yet!
Story
Driving in the snow with the kids to go sledding.
Pros
All power buttons still work and besides a few issues of repairs it has been pretty reliable.
Cons
The blown head gasket and replacing the alternator multiple times was a big con but thankfully my husband was able to change them. If we had paid a dealership to fix these things, we would have sold the truck because it just wouldn't be worth the cost to fix at mechanic.

I bought this truck used in 2009. I instantly fell in love the on the first test drive. I love the way it handles, the way it feels, the way it rides, and most importantly, I LOVE the power! The 7.3L engine is unbeatable. I've put this truck through some pretty tough and rough times, but aside from a few minor maintenance issues, it has performed perfectly! I've recommended this truck to many friends and I can't see myself driving anything besides this vehicle ever again!
Story
Too many to count! I basically live in this truck. It's been all across the country and as far up just about every mountain I can find as I can go!
Pros
The 7.3L engine is what makes this truck. It's got the power and the economy to serve both sides well. The suspension is amazingly smooth for a truck, even at high speeds. The towing ability. This vehicle could pull a house behind it without you even knowing it was there.
Cons
As with most diesels, the big con is the cost for parts and repairs. Also the fuel costs in a diesel are generally more than that of a gas truck. And finally, the mileage. Trucks in general get poor mileage, though this truck does get about 5mpg more than my last gas truck.
