I purchased my Ford F250 Super Duty used, but it had been previously owned by an older gentleman who took very good care of it. The truck has a silver color that is really nice to look at, and the interior matches very well. We were concerned about future children in the back seat, but the rear seat is roomy enough that we shouldn't have any problems at all. I love the massive, chrome grille on the front end of the truck because it adds so much visibility. We've had no issues getting any new parts we needed, which have been minimal.
Story
The funniest story I have about the truck was when we were traveling a longer distance with our dogs and hedgehog. The truck has aftermarket tires on it that are a little too extreme and the truck bounces a bit. This isn't a Ford issue at all, it was a tire selection issue by the prior owner. Anyway, when we arrived to our destination I found that my hedgehog had gotten motion sickness and thr... (more)
Pros
The truck has a huge visibility rating, not only with the grille but also with just how imposing and large it is, which is something I enjoy. Ford picked colors that were easy to match when we were looking to get a topper for our truck. The interior is pretty bare bones, but that wasn't an issue at all. The gas mileage for the diesel is actually relatively good and we love taking the truck on many of our trips.
Cons
I think the only negative issue I had with the truck was that it was hard to find the paint code when I got a scratch and needed to touch it up. I ended up having to go online and google it because I was unable to find it.

The truck pulls great, has great power, and is quiet while driving. I would defiantly buy this vehicle again. I was amazed at how Ford delivers an awesome vehicle year after year. They did have there minor flaws with this truck but once those were fixed it was just an awesome every day vehicle. Once the trucks are tuned they will fly down the road but the downside to them is they get horrible gas mileage even for a big truck. I recommend this truck to anyone who is in the market for a fast, tough, reliable truck.
Story
The time I got stuck at the beach while fishing and didnt realize the tide was rolling in and I was barely able to make it out.
Pros
This truck has great power, towing, acceleration, quiet, and smooth. The interior is very nice. The new dash style is an awesome new feature to the truck as well. I also like how they incorporated the trailer break control system into the dash instead of having to buy the after market ones.
Cons
The cons of this truck are how they made the diesel particulate filter work on these trucks. The way they are designed is it burns more diesel to clean the exhaust on the truck which in turn causes the gas mileage to drop horribly. The truck gets around 13 miles per gallon on the highway. The radiators that originally come with the truck do not last long on the 2008 models.

My 2000 ford f250 super duty truck has been one of the most dependable vehicles that I have ever owned. I bought it with over one hundred thirty thousand miles on the odometer and I believe it is just getting worn in. It can handle towing any load I have thrown at it, which at this point has been 10000 lbs from the class V bumper hitch. With its 8ft bed I can fit plenty of building supplies or tools that I will need. The diesel engine makes plenty of power and torque while not being too harsh on the wallet at the pump. I have driven and owned many trucks and this is by far my favorite.
Story
i drove this truck from ohio to nebraska and back, as well as ohio to new mexico and it was the perfect road trip vehicle. It has plenty of space to sleep in while someone else drove and its large fuel tank meant we could drive for 6 hours on the highway between tanks. driving to new mexico through the heartland of America in this American pickup was amazing and we got to see plenty of sights,... (more)
Pros
For a full size 4x4 pickup the gas mileage was pretty good, around 18 miles to the gallon. It also has plenty of power to tow or haul a variety of items. Interior cabin space is plentiful with the supercab option that it is equipped with.
Cons
Using diesel fuel means that the price per gallon is much higher than regular gas, and with a 38 gallon tank it is pretty expensive to fill from empty. With its long wheelbase the turning radius suffers making parking difficult. Tires must be load rated making them more expensive than standard light duty truck tires.
