This is not the vehicle we intended to purchase. However, it is the vehicle we left with. As a one-ton diesel, non-dually, this truck has hauled everything we have attached to it. I have to admit, if I had the dually, I would have beat them up more than once. We have experienced some engine issues, which Ford mechanics attempted to fix. At one point, a diesel mechanic thought the problem was the computer, which is $2,000.00. After that proved incorrect, my mechanically-inclined husband decided to learn about diesel engines and tore into it. Through trials and determination, he was able to locate the problem, a strategically located small O-ring. As from this issue, the truck has been a work horse for us. We have driven it multiple times across three states on road trips. I do not hesit... (more)
Story
We bought this 350 Super Duty to haul our toy F250 which was lifted onto tractor tires and taken to RedNeck Yacht Club in Punta Gorda, FL where we would play for the weekend. It was always a lot of fun loading the trailer and watching the public as we would head to the yacht club.
Pros
One of the main selling points for this vehicle is the spacious back seat. We are not small people and, when I sit in the back seat, there is ample leg room. The rear seat has a 1/3 and 2/3 split. This comes in very handy on our family road trips. Our child sits in the seat, and the 2/3 bench is folded up so our large dog can lay on his bed. This gives them both plenty of space to stretch out and relax for the 13-plus hour drive. The front seat is more spacious than the rear. Plenty of leg room and arm room, yet everything stays within reach. We don't have power seats, so we don't have to ... (more)
Cons
The size - we call it The Land Yacht, she takes five acres to turn around! Not actually, but it sure does feel like it. The length of the Super Duty allows us to carry everything, but it takes up a lot of floor space. There are some parking lots where I use four parking spaces, not because it requires it standing still, but because I'll need the area to pull out of the parking lot. When the lots are narrow and made for small cars or sedans, big babes like mine have to claim some territory so we don't harm the little guys. The other main complaint we have would be the inability to recline t... (more)

When we first started looking for vehicles, we were adamant we didn't want to consider a Ford. However, when we saw this one I fell in love. This Ford has an 8-inch lift. It also has two black stacks that are cut perfectly with the cab of the truck. The truck body is white with black trim around the wheel house, black bumpers, black mirrors, and black wheels. The tires are 38" and look great and run great with limited sound and wear and tear. We were hesitant to buy a 6.0 because we know they take a lot of work and we didn't know how hard the work would be.
Story
It is always a blast when a little kid starts pointing at the truck and saying things like oh wow that trucks huge! I wish I had a truck like that! At my daughter's school, the mom of the boy she had a crush on came up to me to tell me that her son loves our truck and wants a truck just like ours when he gets his license. It has been a great topic of interest for him and my daughter.
Pros
The biggest pro was that the work was pretty simple that needed to be done to the engine. We added a programmer and set all the settings where we prefer them to be so that the truck will constantly preform at it's best. We love the looks we get from people (especially kids) when we take off from a stop light and have a trail of black smoke behind us. We constantly get compliments on the truck too. The best feature, however, has to be the room that is in the cab of the truck. We have two kids and two 100-plus pound dogs that ride around with us every where and the truck fits us all and all ... Cons
The only real con for the truck is the price of new tires. The price for a new set of tires at the low end is 1,200 dollars. That's pretty steep, but we knew that before we bought the truck. I didn't know if I would ever be able to drive it, but due to my husband needing to travel pretty far for work, he left me the truck to drive and took my car. I love the shock I see on people's faces when I climb down from the driver's seat, especially after I park it perfectly!

I absolutely love my 2008 Super Duty! The tan leather interior is a classy touch to this work horse. As well as the spacey storage in the center console. When it comes to power, this beast has it all. I can tow my camper, haul a big load of mulch, or leave it as it for my daily driver. It never misses a beat, and it actually feels like a better ride when it's fully loaded. The only thing I can honestly say that I dislike is the usual rust area that has started already above the wheel wells on the bed. But this is to be expected for any truck in the Northeast.
Story
I drove my family on an 18 hour trip to visit family in this truck. Our family of four had plenty of room in the cab and we were able to bring with our four wheelers to enjoy on our trip. It was a blast to cruise down the highway, towering above all of the tiny cars. The roar of the engine was our soundtrack this summer.
Pros
This Super Duty is fully loaded, with dual climate controls, heated leather seats, and since it's the crew cab, I have plenty of room for my family as well. This model has the built in step that comes down from the tailgate, which makes hopping in and out of the bed a breeze. The heated tow mirrors are a nice touch too. It also has the towing package, which makes hauling hassle-free. I am in love with the V-10 engine. As far as maintenance goes, it is very straightforward. I've have Ford's V-8's and diesels before, and I have come to prefer the V-10. With basic maintenance, this truck will... (more)
Cons
There are not many negative things about the Super Duty. The wheel well rust is a pain, but living in the Northeast it is to be expected. I have had a minor issue with the climate control not working on the passenger side. Oil changes are a bit more costly that a normal one for a passenger car, but it is a bigger motor, so that's a no brainer.
