I drive a Ford Taurus. It's a V6 and has a ton of kick to it. It has auto locks, power windows, nice radio and speakers and definitely has been reliable. Overall, I would say it has been a good car for me to do my daily running around- and I have a lot of running around, being a mother of three children! The car on the inside is super spacious- the back seat could easily fit three large people and the trunk is HUGE. The seats in the back will go down so I can fit bulky items in the trunk and slide them in the back seat, which is a blessing for when I go garage-saleing. A draw back to the car is how it eats gas. This is the first American car I have ever owned and I do notice a huge difference in the gas mileage I get. It's not super ideal for city driving but highway driving is almost... (more)
Pros
I love the V6 engine of this car. I also love how roomy it is in the backseat as well as the trunk. There is A LOT of room in this vehicle.
Cons
It's a gas guzzler. It eats up a lot of gas, which with the price of gas lately is a huge draw-back.

1999 Ford Taurus - The only car I've ever owned

I've had my Ford Taurus for 10 years now, my parents bought it for me in high school. It only had 1 previous owner, an older lady who brought it in for regular check ups and only put on 40k miles in 6 years. It was a bargain ($6000) from the dealership, he wanted to move it quickly because there was a rumored defect of this model because of roof leakage. It turned out the defect was in this model, and after it sat in a storm it was drenched inside. My parents aired it out and got it fixed, I think the insurance covered it. The biggest con is that the "check engine" light has been on for 7 years, and no one can diagnose why. The paint job is a little scratched up and there are rust spots around the tires, but I drive in Minnesota winters. The only major problem it's had is some coolant ... (more)
Story
I live through Minnesota winters, one afternoon after a 30 inch snowfall, I hit a patch of ice and swerved off the highway into a low ditch. The car deeply tilted over into the snow, it almost looked completely on it's side. When the tow truck came, he said it wouldn't be easy. He had to call 3 guys to come help because the drop was almost 15 feet down. They warned me that the only way to get ... (more)
Pros
Low cost, good gas mileage. Very low maintenance car, and parts are very cheap and common.
Cons
Has gone in the ditch a few times, rust spots came early, there was bad leakage after rain storms but was eventually fixed.

2006 Ford Taurus - Good Old Ford

The performance of the vehicle is excellent. I have had the car for about 6 months to a year and I have had no problems with it. It was sold to me with 180,000 miles on it. It is a station wagon style, with an extra seat in the back. I am not a fan of Ford, but this car has proved that I should be. I never expected that Taurus made a station wagon, as I have owned other station wagons in the past and have had less than good experiences. I do a lot of off-road driving and this vehicle has handled exceptionally. I would recommend this vehicle to advanced and beginner drivers. I would also recommend this vehicle to both families, and single people as well. Best car!
Story
I was out in the national forest in Colorado, and I took this vehicle camping all the way back where you had to make your own road. It never got stuck once. And I had no difficulty doing it.
Pros
The pros of this vehicle is that it has cruise control for those long trips with the family, or if you simply want to go on vacation by yourself. It has automatic adjustable side mirrors from the drivers door. It has child safety locks on both of the rear doors. It has 4 doors and a hatch back for all of your supply and people loading needs. It has compartments in the rear of the car for storing your first aid kit, and jack. It also features a spare tire handy for if and when you get a flat! Rear cup holders that retract. Window lock from the driver door.
Cons
There are very little cons about this vehicle. One being that it came with a cassette deck stereo. It has a retractable antenna for the radio, and it has a smaller gas tank.
