I bought it used because my wife has one. Her car has been very reliable so I bought one for myself. Since purchasing it from a Ford dealership, I have been very pleased. I have had no mechanical, electrical or design. Issues. It is a very comfortable car with a well build engine and transmission. The body does have a small rest spot above a rear wheel well and a piece of inside trim is loose. Given the age and mileage, both are acceptable issues attributed to normal ware.
Story
I drove it to a state forest to camp and hike. After hiking in and setting up camp it began to storm. While trying to wait out the storm in my hammock, under a tarp, lightning began to strike all around me. I could see the hair on my arms standing due to the electrical charge. I began hearing branches fall from trees and crash to the ground. I decided to pack it in. I donned my rain poncho and... (more)

The performance of the vehicle has been unreliable because of its age and usage levels (200,000 miles). The car will nickel and dime you as a part will need replaced every few weeks. This work is on top of regular car maintenance. It is a practical car with decent car mileage. I would say good for commuting longer distances for work. The style is nice, although it is a big car so street parking needs to be chosen carefully. The seats and interior are very roomy and comfortable. The extra features such as traction control are helpful in bad weather. The trunk is also very large and great for storage. The car takes very common tires so replacement is not a problem. The other pro is even though the wear and tear causing constant maintenance, getting the needed parts is not a problem becau... (more)
Story
A fun memory would be taking the car on a ferry in the Outer Banks. We took the car on two ferries actually. The first ride was rainy so we stayed in the car. The second ride cleared up so we got out and looked around. It was fun to have so many cars piled onto the boat. The rides were about 45 minutes so plenty of time to take in the sights. The car had no problems staying in place on the fer... (more)
Pros
Traction control, gas mileage, roomy interior.
Cons
Unreliable, too big for narrow street parking, and no extras like sunroof.
