I love the way this vehicle can hold up to just about anything. It has a great look and the interior is roomy and comfortable. It has amazing cargo space that it can fit all of my kids sporting equipment or all of our luggage for road trips. The luggage rack is nice to have in case there is a need for more cargo space. My kids think it is a cool looking SUV and enjoy riding in it. They love that they can control the radio from the back seat. It has comfortable seats and great leg room. Mechanically the vehicle rides smooth and is quiet. It also has a decent mpg and can haul oversize loads. I enjoy the navigation system and sound equipment as well as all the other features and functions. It's not costly to maintain this SUV. It performs very nice and the handling of it is easy. It's a b... (more)
Story
It is great for going to the drive-in with the kids. They love to be able to throw blankets and pillows in the back and lay there watching the movie.
Pros
The top positives about this vehicle is the ability to be able to fit my kids and all their school and sports equipment. It's great for road trip and candy. I also enjoy the on board navigation system.
Cons
One thing that I wish hadn't changed on it was the handle or bars that you hold to get into it. It is tall vehicle and those always came in handy. They removed the one on the driver door and the one in front of the front passenger. Also, they shrunk the console down and it doesn't fit as much as it used to. I like the back seat cup holders in the fold down cup holder that was down by the floor. Where they put them now up on top of the console you risk having liquid all over the gear shift lever and front if you brake quickly.

The 1991 Ford Econoline cargo van is a useful no-frills workhorse. The V-12 engine is quite powerful, and the van is very spacious. The lack of seating can be a problem if you have a large family, but if you need to haul a lot of material, it's the next best thing to a 12-foot cargo truck. Overall, it's a pretty good van, and I'm glad I have it. It's performed well for me and hauls all of my stuff.
Story
I accidentally crashed into a tree one time, scrapping the paint. The van was otherwise unharmed. It was totally my fault. I turned the wrong way while parking.
Pros
The first pro is that the engine is very powerful. It's a V 12 and it gets the job done. There's a lot of cargo space. It can carry a lot of stuff. That's the biggest pro. It's inexpensive, partially because of its age. It's easy to find parts for it. It has a classic look.
Cons
The first con is this van is very old. As such, it may need more work than a newer model. It will have experienced a lot of wear and tear. The gas mileage is terrible. There is only enough seating for two people. Changing the spark plugs requires removing one of the front wheels. It's not easy to service.

I bought it at about 305,000 miles with obviously not much maintenance or car, so I loved the fact that it ran at all. Around town the inline 6 was surprisingly economical, while out on the road, the van is a surefooted, steady driver.
Story
On one occasion, I took the van on a Sunday drive down some hilly dirt roads. It performed amazingly well, and I was surprised to think of my van as a recreational vehicle!
Pros
I like the driving position and the handling. The van will haul anything you could fit in the very large cargo area.
Cons
The cooling system requires constant care and preventative maintenance. These vans will overheat if pushed in hot weather. So when the timing belt is replaced, that's your signal to replace the water pump, thermostat, hoses, and coolant, and have the radiator looked at as well.
