The 2010 Ford Taurus has been good, solid transportation. It is nothing fancy but it gets the job done. I have had it for over five years and I have had nothing major go wrong with it other than a slight leak in the air conditioning system that requires a can of refrigerant every year or so. Other than that it has required only normal maintenance (e.g., tires, wiper blades, oil changes and filter replacement.) To date, with about 60,000 miles, it doesn't use oil between oil changes and runs very well on both the highway and in urban environment. It gets good albeit not great gas mileage which isn’t a problem given my short commutes and the current price of fuel.
Story
I was driving in a snow storm one time and there was a long line of cars following a snow plow. It was slow going to I passed and made a lane for others to follow. It went through it like a champ. I think the other drivers appreciated it and I got a laugh out of it.
Pros
It is just good solid reliable transportation that doesn't break the bank. I can count on it to start on cold or really hot days and in inclement weather. The cost of ownership has been low compared to some of the foreign cars I've owned. To sum it up, it's a good work horse that gets me to where I'm going.
Cons
Other than it is a rather “garden variety” car, with many like it on the road, there isn’t much to complain about. The seat belt alarm and other warning indications such as low fuel or an open door is very loud and annoying. I sometimes think Ford must have stolen the patent from Big Bend in London. Ford could afford to tone that down a bit.

2010 Ford Taurus - Good dependable car.

I bought this car as a replacement to a Subaru that I had before. I was a little apprehensive because it was such a large car compared to what I had been used to driving. I have since changed my mind about the car. The size is what makes it nice to have. I enjoy having the trunk space and the space for people to be comfortable while riding with me. I am glad that I bought this car and I look forward to owning more in the future.
Story
I loved being able to go to football games for my son and being able to pack the car with all of the things I would need for the game and still having room.
Pros
One of the things I like most about it is the comfort. The car is very comfortable for long trips and makes travel a lot easier. I like the gas mileage and how affordable trips have become since owning this car.
Cons
The one thing I do not like is something that everyone that owns this car has issues with and that is the actuator that is connected to the air conditioning and heat. This is something that has gone out on the car twice since I have bought it because of the design.
