The brakes went bad after about two years of owning the car. The windshield wipers also did not last a year. Other than these two issues, the car has been a good performer. It rides smooth and has a lot of get up and go. It has performed well for the past eight years. This is a good, family, four-door car also.
Story
I used it to access my grandmother's farm and a goat got inside, and we spent about 30 minutes trying to get her out.
Pros
The color of the Taurus is ice blue which I love, because it does not show dirt as much as my previous black car. Also, there is a temperature given on the inside of the car (for the outside), and I like this, because I had never had this in a vehicle before. The heat and air can also be regulated to a certain temperature which is nice. It gets good gas mileage and runs smooth.
Cons
I could not believe the brakes only lasted two years and the windshield wipers one year. The car was still under warranty, so the repairs were covered, but the quality of the brakes and wipers was surely bad to start with.

It performs very, very well. We have never had an issue with the car at all. There have been no mechanical errors except for regular maintenance. It is such a durable car. It is a larger car that what I am used to driving, but it is not so big that I feel uncomfortable to drive it. The inside interior is amazing, I just love it. The design of it and the leather seats are superb.
Story
Around my hometown of Ashland KY, there is only parallel parking downtown. I have never had the need to parallel park really since I started driving. I would always usually find a parking lot with straight parking spots. Well my favorite memory in this car is trying to parallel park it on one of the busiest streets in town. It was a MUCH bigger car than I was used to driving, so it was quite a... (more)
Pros
My favorite feature about the car, really, is the durability of it. I feel so safe in the car and feel like it is just made so well. I feel safe to go on a long, long road trip by myself and not have to worry about if my car is going to break down. My favorite feature of my car is the sunroof and leather seats (with seat heaters) I have never had a car with either and they are AMAZING. I never want to have another car that doesn't include these
Cons
The biggest negative I have about the car is the exterior. I just am not a big fan of the design of the car itself. It isn't stylish nor eye catching. It is very plain and very boxy. If you are just looking for a plain, simple car exterior, then this car is perfect, but if you are even a little bit "trendy" or stylish, this car will not portray who you are...No matter what color you get it in.
