I was instantly greeted and helped when I arrived to the lot. I sat down and we discussed what I was looking for. I got a GREAT deal on a very low mileage car that was exactly what I was looking for. The car is in great shape and I got a free car wash. They also threw in new wipers and serviced the car.

I was very excited about the vehicle when I got it. From the outside, it looked in very good condition; no rust in sight. A closer look revealed a lot of "patched" things. The car wasn't in a good condition and with that inspection, I was happy to get a lower price. But that's when my happiness ended. A lot of parts started falling apart, both aesthetically and mechanically. Nothing major, just a never ending succession of them. Parts are cheap and easily found, however, I would not recommend this car to a friend, only to an enemy.
Story
The only fun story I have with it is the price reduction I got when I did the first inspection on it. It was very revealing and it should have stopped me in my tracks, but I was in need and low on money. I learned that patience is a far greater reward, from all of this.
Pros
I like the fact that it's cheap on gas. It has good mileage, given it's 6 cylinder engine. It's also spacious and comfortable, while the seats still hold. Trunk is large enough to store a variety of things.
Cons
Severe mechanical problems. One after another. Starter had to changed 3 times. Radiator leaked and needed replacing. Power steering pump, several electric problems, the mechanism of the power windows, the door locking mechanism and the driver side control arm we're just the beginning. The interior is cheaply made plastic and the seats are incredibly sensitive to almost anything, including sitting. Also, no mechanic was able to tell me yet, why the engine eats so much oil. It always had that problem. Rust forms quickly and the vehicle needs constant attention.

This is a very sound and sturdy car. The gas mileage is amazing at 30mph. It makes it cheap on gas for traveling and it is fairly roomy inside. The car has leather seats with seat warmers which makes your booty nice and toasty in the winter time. The A/C in this car works GREAT! Summertime can be very hot even in Michigan but this car cools in a matter of seconds. The trunk is extremely roomy- you can fit a large speaker system in it as well as a full size stroller. I really enjoy the stock sound system that came with the car. The bass alone sounds like there is an expensive speaker system in it. The overall look of the car is stylish especially for it being a family car.
Story
I love cruising in my car in the summertime with the windows down and sunroof down.
Pros
My favorite things about this car is the seat warmers and how stylish the car looks. The car keeps you warm in the winter and looks great all year round. The car is very luxurious.
Cons
I live in Michigan and only had this car for a year and it is already rusting on the bottom of the car. I took it through plenty of car washes to have the bottom washed and it still rusted through

My car is a beat up 2003 Ford Taurus with about 114,000 miles on it. It is a car, it has an engine and four wheels and gets me to and from work most of the time. Other than that, there's not a lot to write about.
Story
The car has stranded me in several locations, most notably while making a deposit at the bank for work.
Pros
The car was actually a hand-me-down from my wife, which she had before we met, so it didn't cost me a dime. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of leg room (although the fact that I am only five feet tall may have something to do with that.) The fact that it is a FlexFuel vehicle means that I pay much less in gas than I normally would, which is wonderful. The air conditioning works well, and I've never had any problems with the power windows.
Cons
The car is extremely hard to work on. It is very obvious that Ford does not want DIY types to work on their cars. The nuts and bolts are a hodgepodge of SAE and metric. The oil filter leaks because of an engineering error. It was impossible to take the starter off by hand. There is a rock shield on the underside of the nose that makes it extremely hard to get at the underbelly of the engine compartment. There is an unidentifiable problem with the wiring that completely drains the battery at random. Finally, the car has no get-up-and-go. It is not terribly fun to drive because of a serious ... (more)
