My truck is a 2006 F-250 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab Diesel with the 6.0 engine. I love the way the truck looks with the chrome package (grill, running boards) against the dark green color. The interior is very spacious with comfortable seating that can be adjusted to any body type. Everything is completely digital with a great radio/cd package, with good sound and very easy to adjust stations, sound and time. A great feature this vehicle is the extendable mirrors that are heated and defrost the ice in the worst of conditions. This truck is used to haul horse supplies and occasionally pull a trailer and it has never failed me. As far as overall performance it has been great. Story
This truck is my baby and has been my pride and joy. For the first several years of ownership it was my everyday vehicle and used for everything from grocery shopping, work and pleasure. It has taken myself and friends to the river for tubing, been an oversized dog kennel for my dogs, a feed truck to my horses and at times a bed!.
Pros
Large, comfortable and spacious seating in the cabin with a fold up divided back seat for maximum storage. Heated extended mirrors. The overall look of the truck with the chrome package. Routine repair costs were fair. Great safe vehicle to drive.
Cons
The material used for the seats stains easily and is difficult to clean. The 6.0 engine is the worst engine built by Ford, and is probably the cause behind the acceleration issue. The dual batteries did not seem to perform as well as expected and have been replaced twice. The other dislike about the engine is the lack of a glow plug relay. This is a diesel engine and it would be nice to be able to charge the vehicle in extremely cold conditions.

We bought this truck to tow our 35ft toy hauler camper. It is all stock and the 6.0L has not had any of the bullet proof mods done to it. So far we have had several instances where the truck will over heat when pulling a long grade. The interior is very nice and we love the leather. We did have to make some repairs to the front suspension after we purchased it and do a front end alignment, but it has been very good since then.
Story
We use our truck as a tow vehicle for racing. We love going to races as a family and so far this truck has always got us there and back.
Pros
The interior is very comfortable. There is plenty of room in the spacious cabin. My truck has the bench front seat with the flip up arm rest which allows 3 people to sit in the front seat. The truck gets very good fuel mileage also. I really don't see that much difference in fuel mileage even when towing our 9,000 pound camper.
Cons
The 6.0L is weak compared to other diesel trucks I have owned. There are many mods that can be done to fix some of its issues but they are very expensive. Normal maintenance is also very expensive. Just to change the oil is 15 quarts.
