As a whole, this is an excellent vehicle. If you need pulling and carrying power or plan to do some off-road navigation and hauling, it can keep up. The interior is roomy, and the seats are highly adjustable, which makes long hauls comfortable. After 14 years, it has had some wear and tear, which has required not infrequent trips to mechanic shops. Some recent issues include: the 4x4 switch on the inside of the vehicle not working and the ball bearings in the wheel wearing down. However, after being used rigorously for 14 years and nearly 100,000 miles, these things are survivable.
Story
We bought the truck a state away, and driving back a few hours in a new truck was an adventure. There are always buttons that you don't know what they do in a new vehicle, and with an excited teenager, she wanted to press all of them to keep herself occupied on the way!
Pros
It can pull anything. It carted me across the country to college four years in a row with buckets of stuff and never hesitated, not in snow or rain or hail, across mountains or plains. The inside is particularly comfortable, and the leather seats have held up exceptionally well.
Cons
To get this sort of pulling power, the truck is diesel powered, which makes it rather more expensive to fill up than if it used gas. Also, its mpg are around 15 on a good day. Also, rust has started to form on the bottom of the doors, and the engine needs frequent care; but it hasn't had any serious problems that are super life-threatening or debilitating.

Approximately nine months ago I purchased a 2005 F-250 Super duty. This truck is a work horse. With 130,000 miles, the diesel engine is barely broken in. I have had no mechanical issues with this truck. The look of the vehicle matches the function. Beautiful. The built in trailer brake control works flawlessly. The leather seats, even after 11 years are in mint condition and have a long life left. The nerf bars that came standard on this Laredo edition make the truck extremely easy to enter/exit in spite of its lifted nature. All of the amenities this vehicle includes (moon roof, trailer brake controllers, heated mirrors, electric seats) work amazingly well and make the truck an awesome multipurpose rig. This year of truck with the 6.0 liter engine is known for having issues with plugg... (more)
Story
Soon after purchasing this truck, we used it to take the family on a deep woods camping trip. It made easy work of the dirt roads (more like trails) we used to get into and out of the area.
Pros
Reliability Family friendly vehicle Fuel economy for vehicle class Amenities Looks Functionality
Cons
Possible coolant system issues Fuel economy in comparison to other vehicle classes Can be difficult to find parking in parking garages
