I specifically chose this model and year truck, 2002 F250, because of things I had read online or heard from other people about it. This truck has the 7.3 liter diesel engine and is supposed to be the most durable and dependable engine Ford has made for older diesels. The truck currently has almost 600k miles on it and is still running strong.
Story
I have never owned a vehicle capable of towing anything before. I live in a very rural area, and one day coming home, I saw a Mustang in a ditch. It was very far in the ditch, and I wondered how in the world it would get out. The man flagged me down and asked for help. I had some rope in the back, and we tied his vehicle to mine. Pros
The main reason I chose this truck was for the engine. All the other features are bonuses. It has power windows, seats, and cruise control. We have actually run out of gas with it before, and it started up after adding a few gallons of diesel. No problems with air in the system. It also starts great even in very cold weather. It came with an engine block heater, but we don't have to use it very often.
Cons
Since the truck does have so many miles on it, we have had to do some repairs. These are all things that are expected with a higher mileage vehicle, and nothing so far on the engine itself. It does cost more than a normal car to get the oil changed, but again, this is expected. I wish some maintenance items were a little cheaper, but it is worth the cost to have the capability I need.

This is a very dependable truck. It has lasted me a really long time. I am able to do all the things I need to in it whether it be haul animals in the trailer or take my kids to school. It seats 5 comfortably and 6 if needed.
Story
We went to a Czech dance at the KJT hall in Ennis during the National Polka Festival. It had been a rainy weekend and when we got to the dance there were many cars stuck in the mud. As we were driving around looking for a parking spot we pulled about 3 cars out of the mud.
Pros
This truck is very durable. I especially like the interior of the vehicle as I prefer carpet over leather. I really like the 6 CD player so I can store all of my favorites with me. There are also plenty of cup holders and compartments to store all of your belongings.
Cons
The cons of this truck would have to be that when something does go wrong it is expensive to fix. Also it could use better gas mileage.
