I was surprised at the quality of the Ford Focus. The car looks sleek without looking overly small or squished, like many small cars. However, it is a little generic looking. In a lot with many other silver cars mine can totally blend in. The engine is of a good quality; not overly loud, accelerates well, and the transmission shifts smoothly. When in traffic if I have to accelerate quickly to make use of a gap in traffic I know the car can handle it. However, sometimes it can idle a bit heavy. This goes away once it's in gear, though. There's room in the cabin to fit a 6'3" tall person, though at 5'11" my knees have little extra space while in the driver's seat. The console controls are straightforward and expected, although my car lacks some of the more advanced functions like Blue... (more)
Story
I took a road trip to family about eight hours away. Without cruise control I was dreading the drive, to be honest. I was extremely pleased, though, at how easy the drive was on my leg having active control of the pedals the entire time. The drive was fast, the seats comfortable, and the radio puts out some good sound once you tweak the equalizer to your preference.
Pros
Get a lot for the price Great gas mileage Surprising room for a small car Good engine for a 4cyl Looks good
Cons
Lackluster tires Can idle heavily Some extras like cruise control aren't standard

I had no problems with this vehicle at first, however a few months after purchasing it I noticed the vehicle seemed cheaply made. I do find the carvery stylish however which is partially how I was persuaded to purchase it.
Story
I once drove my car to a popular creek in my area after it had rained quite a bit. Since I drive a smaller vehicle it got stuck in the mud and one of my friends had to tow it out.
Pros
I like the overall look of the vehicle. I also really enjoy the gas mileage which lasts me 2 weeks or more on a full tank. The sound system works very well too. Also when I purchased this car I was given a warranty that includes a $100 deductible for any maintenance on the vehicle
Cons
The build of the vehicle is not good at all. I had to get the shocks replaced only a month after purchasing the car and then a few months later the I noticed a rattling sounds coming from the bottom of the vehicle that I have not gotten checked out yet. I have also had issues with the battery not functioning causing my car not to start so the battery needed to be replaced, I have only had the car for about 1.5 Years and have already experienced all of these issues
