My 2009 Ford Focus SES is easily the top in maneuverability in its price point and class. This car's horse power performance meets a balance in fuel efficiency while not compromising on engine power during driving situations where peak amounts of acceleration is necessary to comfortably and safely navigate on busy freeways. There is plenty of responsiveness in its acceleration and I feel that it punches above its weight for overall impressions of capability that the car can offer at the price you paid. The car's interior design allows for spacious headroom in the front seats but compromises on limited seating room in the backseats. Overall the chamber is comfortable to be in and does not feel at all cramped. There is a utilitarian aesthetic with the cabin's design that is muted and ... (more)
Story
Because this car is so easy to drive, you often get a false sense of performance that the car is capable of and can often make you are more dangerous driver because you are taking more risks than the car can outperform. Meaning you are overly confident about the cars performance and forcing to do things that are above its class. But doesn't mean the car cant perform admirably in what you set o... (more)
Pros
Very good engine performance during periods of brief accelerations. Handibility and maneuverability is top notch, this car is easy to drive. Maintenance has been low cost and reliable. Fuel efficiency is great. Spacious interior room for the drivers seat. Spacious storage area for the trunk. Comes with plenty of entertainment options with the latest Bluetooth inter-connectivity. Stock sound system upgrades is good.
Cons
Shock Absorption could be better. Rear seating area has less room. Better choice of seat fabric upholstery. Chrome accents on exterior parts could use more durable finishes. Carpeting could be better fitted. Paint finish on steering wheel buttons is not durable. Car dashboard screws will wear over time and cause rattling. Maintenance for this issue is very expensive.

2011 Ford Focus - Stylish, reliable & affordable car.

When I was looking for cars in my budget, I came across the 2011 Ford Focus and fell in love! The SES has a really stylish look and chrome rims which really adds to the sports car feel. I also liked the spacious trunk, "party/mood lights," and the idea that parts would be inexpensive for repairs. I'm happy to say that in the 5 years I've owned my car, I've only had to do the normal maintenance and a couple flat tire repairs. The 2011 Ford Focus is a really great car for daily commuting and taking little road trips. There's not much pick up and it can ride a little rough/is noisy on the highway going above 60mph, but I live in a city and only get to those speeds on infrequent road trips. Another dislike is that the buttons on the console and steering wheel started to wear off within the... (more)
Story
I was moving into a new apartment across town and discovered that I needed new furniture that would fit the space. I drove to Ikea with a friend and there was a great sale on this beautiful couch and table. Only catch: I had to purchase that day and delivery would take up to a week. I decided I would just have to tie it to the top of the car and drive super slowly the 8 miles home. Well, long ... (more)
Pros
My favorite features of the 2011 Ford Focus were the "party/mood lights," built-in Bluetooth, stylish body style, Microsoft Sync, USB outlet for charging and connecting to stereo, spacious trunk space, spacious indoor space, and how reliable the car has been.
Cons
The car rides rough and is a little noisy on the highway at speeds above 60 mph. There's also not great pick up which is annoying on the highway -- car doesn't accelerate as smoothly or quickly as I'd like. Lastly, the keys on the steering wheel and radio console wear off really quickly.
