This car is reliable and dependable with great gas mileage. It's not a fancy looking vehicle but it gets me where I need to go. I appreciate the large gas reserve; I have driven 60 miles with the gas light on. I have fabric interior that is not only comfortable and easy to adjust but extremely durable. It has managed to survive three years with two dogs and these same two dogs have been in other vehicles and left them with scratches and tears. My Focus remains unscathed... with regular vacuuming of course!
Story
I took this car to a local coulee and drove it (very carefully) through the rocky desert and right up to the cliff; this little car on that huge cliff made quite a photo op
Pros
Great gas mileage, large gas reserve tank, very durable interior that is easy to clean, clean lines, dependable, easy to find replacement parts, nice color (sparkling blue), comfortable seats, easily adjustable seats, power windows, large trunk, easy to fold down seats, can handle rough terrain.
Cons
Unattractive headlights, rear end sits high, defect in trunk latch (fails to close sometimes, factory defect with this model and year), no iPod hookup, very wide turn radius, low horsepower.

I have the Ford Focus, hatchback. It has great styling - sleek lines and a fast look. The interior is great. I'm glad I sprung for the leather like interior, it not only looks fabulous... it's practical. Spills come right up, and its easy to vacuum. With the back seat down, the cargo space is enormous. I was able to fit a rather large, almost dining room sized, coffee table in the back. I like that you're able to either put down a single seat, the middle + side seat, or all. Unfortunately, my love affair with my Focus ended when it developed the dreaded transmission shudder. I have tried everything to fix it, including tweaking my own driving style after reading the manual and bringing it into the shop for updates. Another "fun" aspect - every time I've gotten a software upda... (more)
Story
The Focus definitely is a road warrior. I've made a couple trips from Seattle to Kalispell, Montana in my car, and it handled the city highway, mountain passes, and long drive like a champ.
Pros
Pros: Exterior and interior styling, lots of cargo space
Cons
Cons: transmission, touchy digital systems, freezing clock

The dealer had some of the best prices on comparable vehicles in the area. They were also very close to my new home and were convenient to get to with their service center also being just a few blocks away. The salesman that helped me kept in contact with me for months after my initial visit and he even offered to pick me up from the airport in one of the dealership's cars. He was very friendly; not pushy at all and I felt that the decision to buy was completely up to me.
