The Versa has been a great little car for me. I use it primarily to tool around town and commute to and from work. I have, however, taken it on a few longer road trips and never had a problem with it. I have taken it in for its routine maintenance, but that's all the upkeep it has ever needed. I have had guests in my car on many occasions, and they all seemed to enjoy the ride. For a small commuter-type vehicle, it seems to have a good balance. It doesn't seem to struggle when climbing hills or getting up to speed when merging on the freeway, for example. The hatchback is perfect for groceries or tools, and the back seats still feel roomy. I have been able to put a kid in a car seat in the back, and she was comfortable.
Story
I drove this car to Cape Disappointment where Lewis and Clark stopped at the Pacific end of their explorations. Was neat to see the road marker "Welcome to the edge of the continent!"
Pros
I like that it is reliable and low maintenance. I like that it is economical. I like that it is small enough to be easy to park. It's great that it doesn't feel under powered for an economy car.
Cons
It isn't a speed demon or performance vehicle. It's a practical car. The styling isn't going to stand out or get you noticed if you are into a sporty vehicle. It's a little boring if you care about being flashy.

This is a great option for a newer standard car/basic commuter car. It's a great car for trips to and from town or for work commute since it gets great gas mileage. Also, it is a smaller car, so it's easier to work in to tight parking spaces when needed. There aren't really any fancy bells and whistles (no AUX cord, which seems to be a pretty common want these days) but will play radio and CDs. The safety ratings are great, and the back provides plenty of room. There's also a good amount of room if needed for groceries and other things in the trunk. Having opted for the standard version, I do miss having a key FOB and automatic locks/windows for the sake of safety, but that also seems to be a smaller matter of preference.
Story
I always feel mildly accomplished being able to fit in smaller parking spaces in a busy downtown area. Even the sedan vs. the hatchback sneaks into some tight spaces.
Pros
This car is comfortable for me to drive. Despite being a smaller car, there isn't much car noise. Comfortable options for A/C and heat. Great gas mileage. The fabric is easy to clean and maintain. It also fits a somewhat larger car seat just fine in the back. Has AM/FM radio and CD capabilities.
Cons
This car is a little too small for bigger people (my spouse is 6'1 and cannot comfortably drive this car, but he can fit in the back.). There is no AUX cord for any of the trim options for this car, which seems to be a new standard for cars. The steering wheel also seems to be pretty slippery for some reason, though this could easily be remedied with a cover. The clock is a little tricky to reset when needed. The flat tire indicator always comes on when the weather starts to drop in late fall/early winter.
