Ever since the Kia Soul came in out 2008, I have always wanted it. The catchy hamster commercials drew me in, and the specs kept me around. From a comfortable ride, to the gas mileage, to the sleek looks for the newer models, and the affordability, the Soul is a great family car. If you enjoy traveling, the Soul makes it easy on you. With a spacious cabin, you can pack enough luggage to last your trip but not worry about paying gas prices for a bigger SUV. If it fits, it sits!
Story
We are a military family. So moving is something we do often. We packed up our car to start our cross-country drive from one side of the country to the other. The Soul made for a comfortable, easy drive. It took us to places we never thought we'd be able to see. From the Hoover Dam to Extraterrestrial Highway.
Pros
The Soul is a compact car from the outside but rather roomy on the inside. It can comfortably fit a family of five as well as groceries in the back. For the price, you can't go wrong. It gets amazing gas mileage to boot. The ride is comfortable. The suspension holds up nicely, and you don't feel a lot of the road while driving.
Cons
For shorter people, the boxy appearance of the car poses some blind spot issues. Specifically, on the passenger side. It is a fairly common car, so you'll see quite a few on the road. If that is an issue for you, I wouldn't recommend this car for you.

I like the fact that this vehicle is inexpensive to drive. I am able fill up for around 35-40 and go 350 miles. I also like the space that it provides when I lay down the back seats. I have been able to fit a 6' ladder in my car with plenty of room for me to drive.
Story
My family uses this car a lot to travel to the beach in the summer time. It is amazing how many beach toys I can fit into this car. It is fairly easy to clean out the sand.
Pros
The things that I like most about this vehicle are: good mileage, Bluetooth, safety features (air bags), compact size.
Cons
It doesn't have any horsepower in comparison to the Durango that I used to drive. It isn't a fast car. I feel safe but small. I don't like the fact that the door automatically relock if I don't get to the car in a certain amount of time. This is a hassle if I have a handful of groceries
