The 2008 Toyota Prius is great car for the daily commute and for those longer hauls. It has plenty of space for passengers and cargo, drives nicely, and gets excellent gas mileage. The ride is smooth, and the car handles very well in all types of weather and on all types of roads.
Story
This car has driven across the continental USA three times with two howling dogs, from Florida to Washington State. The car, the ease of the ride, the gas savings, and the space it gave us were the only thing that made that trip bearable.
Pros
The passenger space and comfort of this car are amazing given how small it looks on the outside. The front bucket seats are very comfortable and adjustable with plenty of leg room and space. The back seat can fit three people much more comfortably than most other small cars, and there is plenty of leg room for everyone. The gas mileage is one of the selling points of the Prius and does not disappoint, with monitors on board to help you learn how to drive to save even more miles. All the electronics and other features are user friendly and stylish.
Cons
My only complaint would be the cost. Hopefully you save some of that money down the road but, out of the gate, it is a bit more of an investment given the size of the vehicle.

This Prius is 6 years old and still running strong! The mileage is great and it is a very comfortable car for a family of 4. It's compact size is fabulous for parking and navigating busy city streets. It has not needed any maintenance beyond changing the oil. Some may not like its design in terms of its "look". It is functional in its look but it's performance outfights its look/style.
Story
I was able to drive my car for longer than my husband on a road trip -- he had to stop for gas before me! I won our bet.
Pros
Gas mileage. Reliability. The car has run for 6 years without needing any major repairs,.
Cons
Some may not like its design in terms of its "look". It is functional in its look but it's performance outfights its look/style. Don't get the cloth seats as they get dirty.

They were very helpful when I arrived at the dealership. The dealer walked around and showed me the cars within my price range, and encouraged me toward the car I purchased. They told me everything that I needed to know about the model of Toyota that I was buying. The test drive was smooth, and the transaction was swift. I was really happy with the customer service.

Great service, I didn't feel like anyone was trying to get one under me. It just felt honest, which is a feeling you aren't really supposed to have when you enter a car dealership. The dudes who worked there seemed like genuinely good guys who wanted to cut me a deal. Needless to say, next time I need a new car I'm heading there.
