As the title states, my Prius has over 350,000 miles on it and is still a reliable mode of transportation. The value of the car is still relatively high considering the mileage. I am able to store quite a bit (a portable sound system: two speakers, a mixer and instruments), despite the size. The gas mileage is typically 43 mpg, which is fantastic! The Prius does require oil to be added frequently, as it tends to burn it as you're driving. I am a 5Õ2Ó, so the distance of the pedals is perfect for comfort. You can drive for an extended period of time without having to fill up, and when you do end up filling up, itÕs cheaper to do so. There isnÕt much clearance, so the car isnÕt ideal to drive if you are going to encounter a lot of potholes. So a very rural area might require a different ... (more)
Story
It always surprises people unfamiliar with my car when I unload and load it. The cargo space is better than some midsize cars.
Pros
Gas mileage is cheap at 43 mpg.
Cons
Sometimes the back-up camera doesn't work and the audio jack doesn't work.

The 2008 Toyota Prius is great car for the daily commute and for those longer hauls. It has plenty of space for passengers and cargo, drives nicely, and gets excellent gas mileage. The ride is smooth, and the car handles very well in all types of weather and on all types of roads.
Story
This car has driven across the continental USA three times with two howling dogs, from Florida to Washington State. The car, the ease of the ride, the gas savings, and the space it gave us were the only thing that made that trip bearable.
Pros
The passenger space and comfort of this car are amazing given how small it looks on the outside. The front bucket seats are very comfortable and adjustable with plenty of leg room and space. The back seat can fit three people much more comfortably than most other small cars, and there is plenty of leg room for everyone. The gas mileage is one of the selling points of the Prius and does not disappoint, with monitors on board to help you learn how to drive to save even more miles. All the electronics and other features are user friendly and stylish.
Cons
My only complaint would be the cost. Hopefully you save some of that money down the road but, out of the gate, it is a bit more of an investment given the size of the vehicle.

They were very helpful when I arrived at the dealership. The dealer walked around and showed me the cars within my price range, and encouraged me toward the car I purchased. They told me everything that I needed to know about the model of Toyota that I was buying. The test drive was smooth, and the transaction was swift. I was really happy with the customer service.

I am glad I was able to secure a Toyota RAV4 by the end of the day with a healthy Carfax report since my Honda CRV was breaking down at the time.
