My 2000 Hyundai Accent is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. No matter how I drive it, it gets 32 to 34 miles per gallon. Visiting the pump once per month on its 300 mile range is a plus! The 1.5 liter inline 4 is surprisingly responsive. Although it is not the fastest vehicle I have ever driven, I am not afraid to enter the freeway. The vehicle handles like a dream, and in spite of its friendly suspension I can still hold a 95 mile per hour sweeping cloverleaf-arc on-ramp no problem. The steering ratio is well matched to the reactivity of the suspension so it is quite easy to feel "one with the car." For how small the vehicle is, it is surprisingly spacious. The engineers did a fine job making the seats maneuverable so as to let my child in and out of the back with ease. The s... (more)
Story
One winter, in the middle of a snowy night, I was driving back home from dinner. There's a road near my house which is actually a shortcut, but is still the road less traveled for whatever reason. I noticed that no tire tracks had been cut into that fresh layer of snow, and I got an idea that since there is nothing to hit on that road, no blind roadside obstacles, no businesses or anything tha... It is a pretty good car for the price. I would have liked it to be a bit larger. It has very good mileage. Overall, I have had very few issues with this vehicle. I love the color which, on the whole, isn't very important to me. There are not a whole lot of dealerships where I live, so I had to search online to find potential vehicles fairly close to me. The dealership I chose had a very helpful sales person that I was able to work with and complete my purchase. He kept me posted on vehicles as they became available. When I felt the right choice for me was there, I was able to make an appointment to meet and pursue my purchase.
Story
The only thing I can think of is that with the back seats down, I was able to pick up and return a stray dog that had followed us while we where out walking our dogs. This stray was in danger of being hit by cars traveling on a major highway.
Pros
Very good gas mileage. No major repair needed other than what was listed to keep the warranty in effect. Good overall price for this car.
Cons
Gas tank could hold a little more gas. Cargo area could be a little larger.

I usually hate shopping for a new car because I hate high pressure sales people, but the sales person was so low pressure and really just let me look at the car. Also, the price was too high and they were able to work with me on the price. They also gave me a good price on my junky old car that I was trading in. They were very fair.

My family had already purchased two Hyundai's (different models) from this dealership and experienced great service. For my vehicle I always have repairs (if needed) and standard service conducted in an expedient and professional manner. I'm always informed when taking care of my car.
