The Hyundai Santa Fe 2007 is a decent used sports utility vehicle. The price for the used model was less than half the new price. I was sort of skeptical about buying an older used vehicle, but it Seemed like it was in good condition, and the price was reasonable. So far I've owned it for two years, and knock on wood, I haven't had any major problems with it. I had a smaller compact car before so I really wanted one with more room. This one has a lot of space in the trunk. It only has space for five people though. It's not as big as a minivan, but our family is only a family of four so it works for us. It also feels safe for my young son. We drive on the freeway a lot, and I feel safe in the vehicle because it rides high so it feels like we can see better and would have more protection... (more)
Story
When we moved, we managed to get a lot of our things in the trunk. There are shallow storage bins in the back, and that's where we put the cat litter tray. It fit perfectly.
Pros
It's roomy and it feels safe driving on the freeway because it rides higher than a smaller car.
Cons
The gas mileage is really not too good. Even on the highway, it only gets about 25 mpg maximum. But the fuel tank is large enough that you can drive over 300 miles without usually having to refuel. It's also an older model, so I'm worried it might start needing more maintenance.

I absolutely LOVE this car! It needs very minimal repairs, runs excellent for being 12 years old, and can drive through most terrain like a champ! I have read reviews on this car, and I am definitely not the only person this satisfied. I think it is a good looking vehicle, and it is comfortable to ride in for long periods. The only thing that I don't like is that it is kind of noisy. Meaning, when driving on the freeway, it is quite loud inside. But, it is not a smooth riding boat, so I am not sure if this is out of the norm for this type of vehicle or not. I am guessing it gets better in the newer models. I think it is a pretty spacious vehicle, I wouldn't mind a little bit more room in the back for camping trips, but that is just because I have two young children! Difficult to pack l... (more)
Pros
The best things about this vehicle for me are that it can go through rugged terrain, and drive in snow like a champ. I have had to do very minimal repair work on it. It is fun to drive, and it is a nice looking vehicle as well.
Cons
The top negative thing for me about this vehicle is that it can be noisy in the cab when driving. That's about it!
