I love that my car sits higher than a sedan, like an SUV, but it is still small enough to park in compact parking spots. It's not too big for the city, and it's easy to drive and has a great turning radius. All-wheel drive makes it feel steady in any weather, and it seats five. I maintain my vehicle with regular maintenance at the dealership, and other than that, I haven't needed to take it to the shop for any weird noises or lights on my dashboard.
Story
I took my car up near Mount Rainier to go hiking with some friends. The previous time we went hiking and drove my car, we had to park in a lower lot and hike to the trailhead before we reached the mountain. With my Mazda, I was able to drive up the dirt road (thanks to all-wheel drive) and park much closer to the trailhead. It definitely helps make the Pacific Northwest much more accessible an... (more)
Pros
I really wanted to find something that had all-wheel drive, a good safety rating, and got good gas mileage. I did my research, and this car had everything I was looking for. It has an aux cable hookup, a USB adapter, cruise control, and a hand emergency brake. The windows also come with a slight tint (stock), so it cuts down on UV exposure while you drive, which I love.
Cons
The gas tank is much larger than my previous car, so when I fill my tank up all the way, it does cost more than it used to. However, the car gets great gas mileage, so I fill up less often. The sound system in the car is good, but I would have liked a more interactive dashboard screen, the CX5 is rather basic.

I have a red Mazda CX-5 and absolutely adore it. It handles like a car, not an SUV which was a major selling point for me. Others, like the RAV 4 are too....stiff. My Mazda handles great, is speedy, and quiet inside. I love that its big enough to carry/haul enough as well as fit carseats, and yet small enough to fit into compact car spaces and take tight turns. Really, its magic. The things I was looking for in a new car were AWD because I live in an area where it snows in the winter, albeit lightly, though it rains a lot. I also needed something with great gas mileage which is difficult to find with AWD cars. My Mazda fits the bill perfectly, it averages about 29 mpg even around the city, yet has power and the AWD will kick on as soon as the system feels the car slip at all. Its absol... (more)
Story
My dad bought this car for me as a graduation present, and the best memory I have was taking it into Seattle for the first time to show my dad around the city!
Pros
-great gas mileage -handles well-small enough, yet big enough -AWD -smooth power and pep -pretty!
Cons
nothing

Good service, the salesman who sold me my car was outgoing without being pushy, and helped me along with a process I wasn't previously familiar with. I still regularly go in for maintenance, this shop does great work.
