Honda Element Owner Ratings & Reviews

2005 Honda Element - I'm in my Element
The Element has a unique exterior, in that, it's quite boxy. Some would describe it as a 'toaster.' The car was designed for the outdoorsy kind of person, who likes to go camping or cycling or whatever and the interior space is quite accommodating. There's no carpet like in most cars so a quick hose-down or spot cleanup are easy. It's a sturdy car and has not required any major maintenance.
Story
Camping! We were able to take so many things to make our trip really convenient.
Pros
No carpet. Makes for quick and easy cleanup. Also, the space behind the driver/passenger seats can open up further by folding up the seats or removing them altogether. Makes for a lot of room for just about anything.
Cons
With no carpet, the car can be very loud. Also, gas mileage isn't great. Another con is it only seats 4-people.
2003 Honda Element - Love It
I really have enjoyed my Honda Element. This vehicle has been such a utilitarian vehicle to own. I can use it as a truck, SUV, all weather, or commuter vehicle. The all-wheel drive all the time allows me to take the Element anywhere in any road conditions. The back seats can come out easily to be a van. It has a tailgate like a truck. The rear doors open for wide access. The seats fold down to make a comfortable place to sleep for camping. The interior has no carpets, so it is easy to wipe down and clean. Perfect for a dog owner.
Story
It is a distinctly different looking vehicle, and people make assumptions that it is all electric or sometimes mistake it for a Hummer.
Pros
SUV with great gas mileage. Converts into a variety of useful configurations. No carpets so very easy to clean the interior. AWD allows great traction on ice and snow. Large subwoofer to accommodate for road noise.
Cons
Not aerodynamic so there is a whistle at highway speeds at time. Interior rattles appear here and there. The windshield is at an angle that chips with rock strikes.
