I had never purchased a car before- that had always been done for me by first my parents and then my now (ex) husband. I knew I wanted a Red Honda Accord based on web reviews and my price range but I was incredibly intimidated by going to dealerships. I'd stopped by several others and though people were friendly, I didn't feel any rapport. That changed instantly when I went to Honda of Seattle. I was so patiently talked through every part of the process and I felt no pressure to buy. When I left undecided the first time and returned two weeks later, the same salesman remembered my name, what I'd been looking for and was able to pick right back up where we left off. He really put me at ease and made me feel well-educated about the car I was buying and every step of the process.

My 1998 Accord was bought used two years ago. There have been some dings to its' surface; the rubber lining in the rear passenger door has come off. But it has been a reliable car for driving, to say the least. Such issues as I've had regarded stuff that needs work with age anyway. Problems with the air conditioner, the compressor, the radiator, and the CV axles have never yet prevented the car from conveying me where I wanted to go. It is also easy to do most repair jobs on the car myself, for which I am grateful. Believe me, I've had less trustworthy cars. Additionally, it has only taken a little maintenance to maintain the mph of around 26 mpg since I bought the car. The engine's mileage responds nicely to additives like fuel injector cleaners and octane boosters. And now, I realize... (more)
Story
I installed my first-ever bypass wire this past spring, by connecting the positive post to the A/C compressor via a tri-toggle switch, run through the firewall to rest beside the steering wheel.. It felt good to a) feel the cool air come out of the a/c vents, and b) to know I'd wired this up correctly and USEFULLY. The mechanic who repaired the compressor wiring was nice enough - or amused eno... (more)
Pros
The MPG has stayed around 26 since buying the car. The radio! The seats and center bucket. Good A/C Most car work is easily done by DIYers' like me. Good transmission, too.
Cons
I need to replace the CD player. The door insulators are in need of replacement. Some of the screws on some of the parts under the hood use non-standard Torx heads.

This is my first car. I was so excited about it at first, but there have been so many issues; the hood paint came off, the brakes and the alignment are always off, and it is too low to the ground. With everything comes some good; it gets great gas mileage, I can fill up my tank for 20 dollars, it is very comfortable inside and the air works amazingly. I think that this is an ok first car, but I would not recommend it to anyone. I was impressed to the fact that I made it all the way from Georgia to Florida with only stopping for gas twice. I think that was amazing. The mileage is in the 100000's but it has been driven a good bit. I got it after my graduation from high school. There is ample trunk space but the back seat is often too small. With the car being so low to the ground it is h... (more)
Story
We went to Florida to go to Disney World and that little car got us everywhere where we needed to be. Now mind you, we did get a flat on the highway on the way there, but the trunk was big enough for our bags and a spare tire.
Pros
Mileage, gas prices, trunk space.
Cons
Too low to the ground, and hood paint.
