The ride is smooth and the acceleration is also nice and smooth. The gas mileage is the usual for its size. I really like how the front window is not cramped in size or style.
Story
Going to the beach is comfortable in the car because of all the space to load things.
Pros
I really like my vehicle. For a family of 4 it is perfect. The trunk space is roomy enough for a big Costco haul and that's saying something. The seats are comfortable on long rides and easy to clean if something spills. You can easily fit two car seats or booster seats in the back seat. I like how the moon roof is large and when it is opened it feels like a convertible. The apps on the car are handy and easily synced with your phone. There is plenty of leg room in the back and the front for a tall person. The driver's seat and wheel adjusts easily to accommodate all heights and weights. T... (more)
Cons
There are a few things I would change about the car. I wish there was a button to automatically open the trunk of the car. I wish the cup holder was on the dash somewhere because I am a short person and when the seat is pulled up I can't use the cup holder in the middle without twisting my hand around strangely. I would also change the seat belt angle for a short person. It is currently resting against my throat and is very uncomfortable.

I love my Subaru Forester. It has tons of space for carrying both people and cargo. It is perfect for outback getaways as well as everyday driving. The standard roof rack is also exceptional for carrying all sorts of cargo, I mostly carry canoes and kayaks. Additionally, it has amazing visibility from all angles. It has the carrying capacity of a truck with the comfort of an SUV, but small enough for any parking place and decent MPG fuel efficiency. It can go up most any logging road and get you to your adventure launch points. It's also extremely reliable, so you can feel confident driving far from any services.
Story
I have hauled myself and two other people, with all of our camping gear, water, food, and three bicycles - while towing a small trailer of additional camp gear - down to Burning Man in the Black Rock Dessert, Nevada from Seattle and back. It was a successful and amazing trip.
Pros
- high cargo carrying capacity - seats convert to a flat layout for hauling or sleeping - roomy comfortable seats, space for passengers and also car seats - fits into any parking space - carries boats well on top - trailer hitch allows for towing and bike racks - AWD - reliability
Cons
- it's fuel efficiency could be better - the interior fabric could be more durable, and darker colored

Proximity. Didn't have to go too far out of my way to purchase, and easy to deal with future servicing. Tried other dealerships and they left us standing around and didn't seem to actually want to test drive or sell us a car.
