My family bought this car because we were looking for a smaller SUV for our growing family. We had a family member who had owned an Equinox and really liked it. We drove in it and loved the car and the brand. We shopped around and found one we loved. The Chevrolet brand is great, and we always have a great experience taking the car into the dealership for routine maintenance. This car is very affordable and stylish. I really like the leg room and trunk space. The car is the perfect width, without feeling too big of a car. I like that it has great space inside, but does not feel like I am driving a giant SUV. It is a great car for a family (including a dog). Our Lab loves jumping in the trunk to go on trips with us. It is pretty quiet and smooth when driving and has adequate power. We h... (more)

Pros
I love how the Equinox looks. It has enough power for my needs, and enough space for my two kids and a large dog. It has good fuel efficiency for an SUV. Feels large inside without being a huge car.
Cons
My car occasionally makes a squeaking noise under the hood. I have taken it in to fix the issue, and nothing is ever found wrong with the vehicle.

This car has been great to us. We were looking for a vehicle that could hold a lot of cargo, had four-wheel drive and got great gas mileage. It seemed impossible to find something so good from a domestic vehicle, but much to our surprise, we found it in this vehicle. It was not always good. At low mileage, it took a lot of work that was obviously overlooked by Chevy while engineering this vehicle. Although, after it was fixed, we wouldn't want another vehicle.
Story
A half cross-country trip with it full to the brim. It performed flawlessly and always had enough power.
Pros
It has amazing features, pretty much anything you could ever want in an SUV. It is a four-cylinder with four-wheel drive, which is very unique for a car of this type. Although, it has plenty of power and gets great gas mileage.
Cons
It has had its American-made downfalls, such as a bad transmission that needed work and a bunch of other small issues. The automatic trunk stopped working and a bunch a recalls happened. Even through it all, we still love the vehicle.
