I like the fiberglass body, this makes for a lightweight car that gets very good gas mileage. The interior is roomy and comfortable, the stereo system is good except for the fact that it came with a cassette player. The car has 140,000 miles on it and the only major problems are an oil leak and a bad muffler. It is a smooth ride. However the roof has developed a leak that has damaged the fabric.
Story
Driving in snow I had a deer run out in front of me. Unable to hit the brakes due to snow I turned and ended up just bumping the deer. The nice thing was that there was no dent where we hit thanks to the fiberglass.
Pros
High gas mileage, lightweight. The car is compact and low to the ground, and yet it does not feel cramped inside. The engine is easy to work on for maintaining. The stereo has amazing sound quality. Being able to fold down the back seats makes for a roomy trunk. The fiberglass body is able to withstand minor bumps without showing dents, unlike metal bodied cars.
Cons
Changing the oil is difficult because the car is so low that a person can't fit underneath. The valve cover gasket went out, causing an oil leak. The weather-stripping is not very high quality. The belt tensioner also went bad causing the car to develop a squeal. The interior seems cheaply made because it develops cracks fairly easily. The large dashboard seems to invite people to put things up there which end up spilling.
