I have a 2016 Ford Focus SE. I got it used from a large national used car dealership. At the time I bought it, I was so frustrated with my old car that I bought it off the lot without even test driving it. The car gets almost 40 miles to a gallon, and I drive about 100 miles a day so that is important to me. It's not uncomfortable but also not a luxury car. I have had no mechanical issues over the past 60,000 miles (it's currently at 87,000). And the tires that were on it when I bought it lasted to 80,000 miles. Its very practical, which is exactly why I bought it.
Story
Last year I used the car to take several bee hives to a family member several hours away. I had never put bees in that car so it was kind of fun. Also within the first week of owning the car, I put two bales of straw in the trunk. I grew up in the country moving hay and livestock all the time so I got some humor out of using a ford focus to do it later in life.
Pros
Relatively inexpensive for a car these days. No mechanical trouble, I can do the all the maintenance on it. It's easy on tires and gas. The car seems reasonably smart (can predict your driving style and stuff). It has a very effective back-up camera. It's super easy to drive. And it is way faster than any 2.0 inline four engine has any right to be. I can fit a large mountain bike in it with the back seats laid down
Cons
The road noise is very loud. I've had multiple passengers comment on how loud the inside of the car was when going on the interstate. And that is with two different sets of tires. Additionally, the dual clutch transmission can be kind of jerky and stutters at times. It really feels weird during stop and go traffic. Also, it doesn't have air vents for the back seat, which seams trivial until you put a screaming kid in the back seat in the summer...

I bought a 2005 Ford Focus about three years ago now. I financed this vehicle after my previous one broke down on the way to school. I had little credit and not much cash but still walked away with a car. I got a silver focus that I fell in love with. The car rode great and had many features that I wasn't accustomed to. The car had power locks and windows which was a big plus. The gas mileage on the car was great for me as a delivery driver. I took this car on several road trips which turned out great.
Story
My favorite story about my car is when I was a delivery driver and delivering in the snow on a college campus.
Pros
My favorite feature of this car is how smooth it rides on a daily basis. The car gets great gas mileage and hasn't had many issues so far. The car has been very reliable with all of the mileage I have put on it.
Cons
My number one con of the car is its drop in value since I purchased it. The car has had a few alignment issues and I have had to replace the brakes once since I got the car three years ago.
