I love that it's all-wheel drive, without being an SUV. It's the perfect size for me, able to hold three passengers very comfortably. It also has a nice roomy trunk. I'm a theatrical costume designer. If I don't have passengers, I am able to carry everything I need to drive to a theatre with all the costumes for a play or opera production, while still able to use a car instead of an SUV. It handles so well. We lived in the mountains for the first eight years that I owned it. We were so impressed with how well the all-wheel drive works in the snow, and how well it handled the curves. It also has plenty of torque to get up the steep slopes, or to pass other cars. I drive long distances alone often, and it's actually comfortable for the first eight hours or so, which is much better than m... (more)
Story
I have driven it in some pretty dicey winter conditions and always felt very safe in it. Not really a fun story, but I was grateful.
Pros
It's quiet on the road. I don't hear road noise, and I don't hear rattling, whining, etc. Even the A/C fan is quiet. Its seats are very comfortable. The compartments, cup holders, and seat pockets are convenient. The passenger seat leans back far enough that the passenger can actually take a good nap.
Cons
I understand that it's actually a pretty big car, and it's AWD, but I do wish it got better gas mileage on the highway.

2011 Ford Fusion - Nice, reliable and well made.

My vehicle is a 2011 for Fusion SEL. It is equipped with the 3.0 Liter V6 putting out about 240hp. Over this is a really nice mid size sedan. It is a very comfortable car with nice heated leather seats. The power is more than adequate, it has enough "get up and go" to easily do some high speed merging and maneuvers. The car is surprisingly agile for being 4000lbs with not much under-steer. Since 2010 or so Ford has really stepped up the build quality and material quality on their cars and mine is a beneficiary of that renewed emphasis on quality.
Story
Coming from a Mustang, it was nice in the Fusion to have four doors and enough room to drive some friends around. The first time I did this was going to a football game and picking some friends up to go.
Pros
1. Price, I did get it used but the overall quality was top notch. 2. Comfort, this car has very nice heated leather seats and good ride quality. 3. The SYNC system is really nice allowing me to make hands free calls and stream music. 4. Keyless entry key pad. That is a really convenient feature. 5. Power driver and passenger seats.
Cons
1. Mushy unresponsive transmission. It up shifts way too soon going into tight corners from a stop. 2. A bit low on power but it doesn't struggle. 3. Wish it had cooled/ventilated seats
