I love my Ford Escape! As a young person, I thought my options were limited as to what kind of vehicle I could get financed. No problems with that at all at my local Ford dealership. I bought my Escape used with 81,000 miles. That is okay because it runs great, looks great and has great quality. I have had absolutely no problems with my Escape. It performs wonderfully. Even used, there are no issues with quality. There are no rattles, no noises, nothing negative at all. I needed a reliable vehicle to drive back and forth to school, and that is exactly what I got with my Escape. There is lots of interior room which is a huge plus for me. A lot of vehicles have very limited leg room for back seat passengers, but not my Escape. Even someone very tall with long legs can easily be comfortab... (more)
Story
I live in the South. We do not get much snow around here at all, but when we do, the whole town is paralyzed. I don't have to worry about that. Slap the Escape in four wheel drive and away I go.
Pros
Love the roominess of the interior of my Escape. Love that it is roomy without being a huge vehicle that is hard to get in and out of parking spaces. Love the style and look of the vehicle. Love that it is reliable, even used. This reliability shows good quality.
Cons
I do not have even one negative thing to say about my Escape. I love, love, love my Ford.

I wanted something that had storage space but better mileage than a truck, and it has been everything that I could have asked for. I miss having a truck at times, but it's back seat being able to drop down still gives me the ability to carry most of the things that I need to.
Story
helping a friend move from Wilmington NC, to Leland NC. I was able to (just) fit a dresser into the back of the Escape and put things in around it and in the front seat, which saved us a trip!
Pros
Overall the AC works great! The car handles very well. Coming from having trucks my whole life, the turning radius on it was refreshing to me. With it being bigger and higher than most cars, I still feel safe in the car, and there's just enough room for me to have my drivers seat all the way back and someone still be able to sit in the seat behind me comfortably. This car is a lot more roomy than older versions of the Escape. I also love where the aux plug-ins are. There's no risk of hitting them and damaging them, as they're inside the arm rest.
Cons
When it rains, or there's dew or any kind of water on the car, you can't crack the windows even a littel bit, as water constantly will stream in and land on the doors. Also, the lower vents in the car don't seem to work as well as I would hope. My car has an issue at times where the Aux won't have sound, and I have to switch to other musical sources a couple of times to get it back.
