I have been driving this 2007 Sonata for about a year now but it has been in the family since it was brand new. It currently has 200,xxx Miles on it and its running flawlessly for the most part. Hyundai had some backlash for quality up until this body style was released, but I believe they redeemed themselves. The exterior, despite being 10 years old, has retained a modern image. I have a silver, which I am not ashamed to be driving, even as an automotive tech student. The interior looks almost new (Minus the floor mats). It has held up very well over the years, and looks great after I added my own Kenwood touchscreen radio head unit! It has a nice simple trim that I covered with a vinyl skin for a little personalization. It also has a lot of airbags around the entire interior on t... (more)
Story
I recently found that the wing of a 2005 Honda Accord fits this car almost esthetically perfect. I took it off a beater Honda and threw it on my sonata and it matched perfectly! Cue the goofy looks from my classmates.
Pros
The car retained a modern look over the years. It is reliable and easy to service. Interior has held up nice, even with abuse. Engine has a satisfying amount of horsepower for its parent vehicle. Not too small but big enough for 5 passengers in a bind. Great storage space. Quiet ride. Electric manual shift option. Very comfortable for long distances and short. Great starter car. Very safe car. 5 speed transmission with overdrive.
Cons
Gas mileage could be better for the size of the car. Steering can be a little stiff. Transmission shifts a little higher RPM than I'd like for economy.

This is one of the best cars I have owned. It's much less than buying a similar vehicle, like a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, but it has all of the same features. I have had to get no work done to it in the 10+ years that I've owned it, other than standard repairs for things like new brakes and new tires. Overall, it's all about the value.
Story
My sons like to learn to drive with it, but my youngest almost drove it through our garage!
Pros
It has a very lengthy warranty, one of the best - if not the best - in the industry. It has the highest safety ratings. It has standard features, like XM radio, and power seats/doors/mirrors. The overall cost of ownership is low. It is a decent-looking car. It has a lot of trunk space.
Cons
I wished that I hadn't paid extra for some features like fog lights, which I have not used. I also have not used the moon roof very much. I wish that it would get better gas mileage. I wish that the back seat were a bit roomier. My kids fit fine there, but it can be a little uncomfortable for adults.

This dealership helped us find a car for our two teenagers that would be safe and affordable. They understood that we weren't making a new car purchase and they didn't pressure us into trying to buy a new car like other dealerships had
