My Chevy Cobalt is the first car that I bought that was not passed down from a family member or bought from a friend. My boyfriend and I bought it together because I did not have a car, and the only vehicle he owned was a big GMC Sierra truck that only averaged about ten miles per gallon and was getting older. So when we decided it was time to purchase another vehicle, my only specifications were that I wanted a cute little car, with a spoiler. And it wanted it to either be silver, red, white, or black. So we looked around at the local used car dealerships and finally found our Cobalt.
Story
We went to the drive-in with it. That was fun. We've also been to the beach.
Pros
The vehicle has less than 100,000 miles, which is nice because our only other vehicle has almost 400,000, and the upkeep is expensive and time consuming. It is definitely an attractive little car with a cute little spoiler, and I love having an actual trunk instead of just a back seat or a truck bed. Additionally, the mileage is such a nice change. We average about 29 miles per gallon, and there is a nice feature where it shows you on the dashboard your current mpg, and we have had it go up to 90 mpg before.
Cons
I think it is ridiculously overpriced, considering the problems we have had with it. Shortly after we bought it, the transmission broke, and we had to pay over $3,000 to replace it. Because we bought it from a shady used-car dealership, it only had a month-long warranty, and of course, the transmission went a couple days after the 30-day warranty expired. We also are about to replace the tires, which will cost a few hundred dollars more.

This is a great little car just to do your running errands and running around town with. If your looking something to do a lot of traveling with more than two people, this isn't the car. There is only enough room in the car for two people and luggage or four people just for regular day trip. I wouldn't try going on long road with four people and their luggage with this car. If it was an emergency and I had no other car, I would.
Story
A day trip to the outlet malls a few hours from my house with my girlfriends is my most memorable moment.
Pros
As far as pros, the car is compact and you can squeeze it any where in a parking space. Gas mileage is also great on this car because it's so small. It is an excellent car for a long road trip for two people or even a day trip for four people. A long road trip with four would work in a pinch or an emergency, but I wouldn't try it otherwise.
Cons
As far as cons, space for travel is an issue with this vehicle. There is only enough room in the car for two people and luggage or four people just for regular day trip.
