2014 Chevrolet Cruze - Reliable Chevy Cruze
The Cruze is a reliable car without a lot of frills. It gets great mileage both city and highway and has the small details that I need, i.e. USB hookup, Bluetooth connection, automatic windows and locks. Does come with several other options (power seats, sunroof, navigation etc.), but were unnecessary for my needs.
Story
I love taking my car for an afternoon drive with all the windows down on a crisp fall day. My dog is my co-pilot and he loves to have his head out the window for all of the smells.
Pros
The positives on this vehicle were the ease of purchase (online inquiry) plus the needed features for my daily life. USB hookup, Bluetooth connection and great mileage for a non-hybrid vehicle. My favorite feature is the ability to track multiple trips so I can track gas efficiency and the ability to hook my phone up through USB so I can listen to music.
Cons
Chevy seems to have many recalls, however none have been outrageous. I'd rather have a company that is overly cautious than not at all.
2015 Chevrolet Cruze - Amazing car with few exceptions
The overall build quality of my Chevy Cruze is amazing, it has been one of the smoothest riding vehicles I have ever owned. In addition to this, the interior has held up against extreme conditions (children) over the years and remains relatively stain free, and when stuff has spilled, it's been easy to clean. I do find that I don't get near the gas mileage out of it that I used to, but it is to be expected as the vehicle ages.
Story
The only memorable story I have about using my vehicle around where I live is the day that we moved in and were carrying items out of my car into our new home.
Pros
While this car does have some amazing features, if I had to choose, I would say the addition of the power package and convenience packages were the best choice I could have made. It gave my car the ability to adjust my seats electronically, fully power lock and windows, and a back-up camera (which is something I never thought I wanted until I had it). To compliment this, the paint of my car has held up really well even after taking several rocks over the years (very minor dings).
Cons
There is only one thing that drives me pretty nuts about my car, to the point that I would consider it a negative, is that there are many little nooks in the vehicle that make it extremely hard to clean if something is spilled into them. These nooks are located around spill prone areas like the cup holders (both front and rear).
